Meanwhile in an alternate universe
Eggman: "Finally! I've reached an entirely new universe! I claim this world in the name of the Eggman empire!"
Goku: "Hey! I'm Goku."
Eggman: *Spit take* "Goku!!?"
Goku: "I heard you're pretty strong, Eggman! I'm gonna kill you now!"
Eggman: "I'M GONNA DIE!!!"
A few weeks had passed since Gohan and Erza had awakened on that beach.
Gohan had originally wanted to return straight to the island and confront Jellal but it was Erza who begged him not to out of fear for the lives of her friends.
Despite how he reassured her that he could defeat him Erza did not want to risk it because, in her mind, their blood would be on her hands.
And so, with nothing else to do, the two moved forward.
Once they arrived at the first town Gohan was hit with major culture shock. This world was centuries behind in technology! Besides, while Gohan could understand what people were saying, he couldn't read at all.
This was something Erza picked up on and quickly began to teach Gohan how to read. Something Gohan was grateful for despite her unorthodox teaching method, seeing as she punched him every time he would get words repeatedly wrong.
Alongside his learning of this world's language, Gohan also began to learn about magic.
It seemed to be this world's version of Ki, albeit far weaker. Still, it was something that Gohan could sense within people if they had been training or had an inherent talent for it.
Alongside this new knowledge, Gohan learned of Erza's dream to wield magic. Sensing the mana within her body Gohan knew that she was more than capable of using magic. The only problem was that she was unable to feel said mana inside her and use it. So Gohan proposed a solution.
"I'll channel my Ki through you. This might let you get a sense of the mana in your body and let you use it." Gohan proposed.
"Ki?" Erza questioned, she'd never heard of such a thing before. Even so, it intrigued Erza as Gohan created a small orb of ki in his hand to show off the power he was talking about.
Still, Erza was hesitant. Did she deserve to have this power unleashed? For her to be able to chase after her dream while her friends were trapped and forced to work on a deserted island.
Gohan placed a hand on her shoulder as he gave her a reassuring look.
"Erza, while it might not be best to go back now you'll need this strength to save your friends and protect them," Gohan explained.
Erza stood silently for a moment before nodding. The two now sat down across from each other while holding one another hands.
With a deep breath, Gohan focused on the power deep within himself before slowly channeling it into Erza.
She felt as if her veins were on fire, making her let out a scream of pain. Gohan instantly stopped only for Erza to speak up.
"Keep going! I can take it!!" She couldn't back down now. If she was going to one day save her friends like how Gohan said a little pain wasn't going to stop her.
Gohan gave a solemn nod before continuing, this time being more careful and going slower than before. Erza's body shook from all the power that was entering her body despite this but soon enough she felt something.
