...
Since Raven was still recovering from being resurrected, she didn't join her friends on any missions. Richard insisted that she stay home and focus on herself.
Despite her physical health being excellent, he wanted to make sure she was ready mentally before joining them on a mission. Raven understood his provisions, and respected his decision.
And every time the alarm went off, she watched as her friends rushed to their rooms, put on their uniforms, and left the tower. Every time she couldn't help but feel a powerful urge to join them.
As the days passed, the urge to assist her friends became stronger and stronger. She wanted to help, her hero instinct becoming a prominent feeling inside of her.
She had given herself plenty of time to adjust to her situation, and she was prepared to assure Richard of her mental wellbeing. She had spent weeks helplessly waiting behind as her friends went into battle.
But she wasn't going to stay behind anymore.
...
Raven opened her closet, wanting to be prepared if the trouble alarm went off. But as she stared into the wardrobe, she remembered one of the reasons why she was unable to join her friends in combat.
She didn't have a uniform.
She refused to wear the old uniform, that was the old Raven's. And she had made it clear that they weren't the same person.
But if she were going to join her friends and be a hero once again, she needed a suit.
...
Red lights flashed in every room of the tower as the alarm echoed throughout the halls. And with the sound the Titans didn't hesitate to react as they rushed to their rooms and got dressed before meeting in the common room.
Richard ran to the computer, getting details on where they were needed before notifying his team.
"There is a robbery at the Museum of Natural History." He informed them, but before he could initiate their action, the elevator doors opened with a quiet swish.
Raven walked into the room, dawning her familiar blue cloak, but her black leotard was replaced with a long blue, high-split dress. Her arms were no longer covered by her sleeves and instead were protected by matching shoulder length gloves. Her slip-on shoes were replaced with thigh-high boots.
The room was silent as her friends stared at her. Some were surprised by the new uniform, while others were shocked to see her ready for a mission.
Raven turned to Richard, mimicking his stern expression, wondering if he was going to oppose her decision to join them.
She was fully prepared for him to protest. She even had an argument if he was going to be his predictable stubborn self.
"Are you sure you are ready?" He asked.
"Yes." She answered confidently.
And surprising everyone, that was all he needed as he nodded his head before facing the others. "Titans go!"
...
It felt good to be back in the field, fighting alongside her friends. It was as if nothing had changed. But while her teammates fought effortlessly against the criminals, Raven struggled with her opponent.
She was a little rusty with her hand-to-hand combat. She was never particularly skilled in the art form, and her inexperience showed as she struggled against her adversary.
