I rolled over and opened my eyes. I was at home in bed, the sunlight pouring in through my windows had woke me up. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and stumbled out of bed. I crossed my bedroom floor and closed my lime green curtains that hung in front of my window. They didn't help much. They were extremely thin.
I unplugged my phone from its charger and plopped down on my bed, pulling the green sheet over my legs. Light still shined through out my room so it would be impossible for me to sleep now. I searched the blankets on my bed for the TV remote. I finally found it underneath the mound of pillows behind me. I pressed the red button and the screen flickered on. House Hunters: International was on, I decided to keep it there.
I laid back with a sigh. I had no plans for the day. My roommate was out of town, or should I say state. She flew to Texas to visit her sister who was attending school there. My Mom and Dad were back in my home town, Calhoun Georgia. I didn't have many friends here either, so I was left alone, to do nothing. I heard a knock at my door, it was a familiar knock and as I reached the end of the hall I knew exactly who it was. I darted down the stairs as quickly as I could and slung open the front door. Three blondes and three brunettes stood in my doorway.
"Happy to see us?" Riker Lynch, the oldest blonde asked.
"Yes!" I giggled.
"Good." Ross, the youngest blonde smiled. They made their way through my door, each one giving me a big hug. They took seats in my living room, making themselves at home.
I haven't been friends with these people long, because they just moved here, after living with their parents. Riker was the oldest of the Lynch's, he had blonde hair and was currently twenty three. Rydel has blonde hair as well; she's the only girl, at age twenty one. Rocky, well he's brunette, 20 years old. Ross, he's a cute little blondie at nineteen and Ryland; brunette; eighteen. Their best friend is Ellington Ratliff. He has brown hair and is also twenty one. Riker, Rydel, Rocky, Ross, and Ellington are all in a band called R5. Ryland's their awesome DJ!
"Guess who's going on another tour?" Riker asked settling into the couch.
"Hmmm...you guys?" I asked as a smile grew across my face.
"Yeah! How'd you know?" Ross asked.
"Lucky guess?" I giggled. I caught Rocky looking at the new pictures I hung on my wall last night. They were of me and my sister when we were little. We haven't talked in forever, but that's a story for another time.
Ross kicked off his black converse and pushed them under the coffee table. I sighed as I watched Riker, Ryland and Ellington do the same. The four boys were seated comfortably on my couch, Rydel sat in one of two recliners I had in my living room, and Rocky stood beside my TV stand with his back against the wall. I seated myself on the arm of the other recliner looking at the only friends I had at the moment.
"So, what are you guys doing here anyway? I thought you'd be working on your new album." I said.
"We took a break." Rocky said. My eyes darted his direction. He smiled causing me to smile.
"We wanted to know if you'd like to go to the beach? We haven't hung out in awhile. We thought it'd be fun." Rydel spoke up.
"Yeah! I'd love to go to the beach!" I smiled.
"Awesome! Go get ready!" Ryland smiled. I nodded and headed up stairs. I opened my bedroom door and ran to my bed; grabbing the TV remote and cutting off the TV. I made my way to my closet and pulled out my dark green bikini. I heard a light knock on my door.
"Come in." I called. Blonde haired Rydel stepped into my room. "Hey." I smiled.
"Hey girlie!" She smiled. "Need any help?" She asked.
"I think I'm good." I smiled walking into the bathroom attached to my room. I pulled my brown hair down from the messy ponytail I had it in and brushed it out. Rydel sat on my bed playing on her phone. I pulled my hair up into a tight ponytail and shut the door before throwing on my bikini. I pulled a tank top and shorts on over it and joined Rydel in my room.
"Let me grab my shoes and I'll be ready to go." I smiled.
"Alright!" She giggled. I walked to my closet and dug through my pile of shoes until I found my tan sandals.
"Let's go, Isabella!" I heard Ross call.
"Hold your horses!" I yelled back before running down the stairs; Rydel right behind me.
"I'm ready!" I said attempting to catch my breath.
"Finally!" Riker joked throwing an arm over my shoulder. I rolled my eyes and elbowed him in the ribcage.
"Ow!" He giggled. I smiled and made my way to the door. We walked to the Lynches van. Riker sat in the drivers seat and Rocky sat in the passenger seat. In the second seat Ryland, Ellington, and Ross were seated comfortable and in the back was Me and Rydel.
We drove swiftly to the beach and unloaded everything and everyone. This section of the beach was surprising extremely empty. Maybe four or five people laid out on beach towels on the sand. I followed the boys and Rydel onto the sand and sat down maybe twenty feet from the water. I starred at the beautiful blue water, soaking in the sun.
"Come on!" Rydel said standing next to me. I looked up at her to see her cheery smile. I stood up swiftly; dusting the sand off the legs.
I heard Rydel began to giggle and the next thing I knew I was lying on the ground with someone on top of me. When I was finally able to see again, I realized it was Rocky. Rocky was definitely the sexiest of the Lynches. His long brown hair that swept down the sides of his perfectly tanned face. His gorgeous brown eyes. Wonderfully toned body. How could you not love him?
As I came to realization again, my eyes caught Rocky's. He sent me a quick smile before standing up off me. I felt my self melt. I blinked a few times and stood up.
"You alright?" He asked.
"Y-yeah." I stuttered, dusting sand off my arms.
"Sure?" He asked. I nodded and smiled up at him. I'm a year younger than him. So that makes me nineteen. I've had literally the biggest crush on him since the day I met him, but I try to hide it.
"Can I teach you how to surf now?" Rocky asked.
"So, you tackle me and then ask if you can teach me to surf?" I asked jokingly.
"Yeah! Pretty much!" He smiled.
"Sorry, but no. I think I'll stick to swimming for right now."
"Alright shorty!" He laughed. Shorty is my nickname from all of them. I'm only 5'9! It's not fair, considering they are all like six foot! I rolled my eyes at him and turned to Rydel.
"You gonna swim with me?" I asked.
"Well, I was actually hoping to be able to surf some today." She said to me.
"Ok. That's fine. You go surf. I'll stay here." I smiled.
"No! I don't want to leave you alone!" She argued.
"I'll be fine! Go have fun! I know you're always busy, you need a break!" I smiled.
"Ok. But I won't be out long." She sighed, picking up her surf board, that I just realized was lying on the ground. "We'll get fro-yo later!" She yelled as she ran off.
"Alright!" I yelled back. I then noticed that all of the boys, except Rocky, were already in the water. I began to turn around when I felt a presence behind me.
"I will get you on a surfboard one day." Rocky's deep voice whispered in my ear. I froze for a second before Rocky was running in front of me toward the blue water.
