Chapter 7: Birthday boy pt.1

"Get a sit and puddle down children. We will be leaving after 15 minutes. "

I carefully placed my bag on the top compartment as I sat down and proceeds in waiting.

"Hey Jake!"

I turned to the voice only to be greeted by the most ugliest face I could have imagined. What a way to start my day.

"What do you want Jung Il?"

"Nothing. I just wanna apologize about the other day. I didn't know he was your boy."

He said in a low nervouse tone. I heard Mr. Shemburg shouting at our direction as Jung Il stands at the middle. Creating a string of lines behind. So I proceed to answer quickly.

"Now you know, you should leave him alone."

He nodded but didn't stated anything. After a minute of silence I decided to dismissed him.

"Now go sit the fuck down."

I wasn't usually this harsh, nor a fan to use cursed words. But seeing his face only irritates me farther.  After what he did to Sunghoon, something just switch on inside of me, which I still couldn't figure out. Though I was thinking I knew what it really was, I was still afraid to acknowledge it fully. I'm afraid of losing, and I still am.

There are three buses in total. Thinking he might be on the other bus, I fish out my earpods and blast a full volume of "baby blue eyes" on as I slowly closed my eyes.

"Alright I want you to start the head count, Kelsy 1!"

"1!"
"Morgan,2!"
"Lee,3!"
"Choi,4!"

I remembered driving him home. His actual home. With his family.

"Scott, 5!"
"Ty, 6!"
"Moi Oliver, 7!"
"Moi Seb, 8!"

"Lim, 9!"

I hadn't seen him early this morning, I thought he was late. Or maybe he was already on the bus.

"Kim, 10!"
"Park, 11!"
"......."

By the time we arrived I still couldn't find him.

"Mr. Sim?"

"....."

"Jake!"

I felt my self being snapped out of my train of thoughts. Jay, who has a worried and confuse face plastered on, shook me off by the shoulder.

"Uh-..huh?"

"Head count" said Jay.

"Oh..uhm... Sim, 12."

My voice is down, as well as my mood. It seems like I wasn't blessed with a good morning or a ray of sunshine walking around to greet me like usual. Or maybe....I just woked up from the wrong side of bed.

"What happened to you?"

Heeseung asked.

"Nothing. " I answered.

Yeah it was nothing. Nothing is making sense right now. My mind is foggy and I suddenly felt tired.

The batch decide to get to their shared rooms. Excited as ever.

"You guys go first...I uhh... I'll just stay here for a while."

I said as I grab my bag to go back inside the bus.
