Shock overwhelmed Alyara. She had faint memories of Tristan; Marco hardly spoke about him. "Y-You're Marco's dad? I-I don't understand."

Tristan's gaze never left her. "It has been a while since I have seen you. I remember you when going to open school nights. Now look at you; grown up and going out with an animal."

"Animal?" Then it hit her. "Y-You know about Isaiah? How?"

"He's a hunter, Alyara. Hunters hunt werewolves!" Emilia growled. "Why are you doing this to us!? Our pack hasn't broken any treaties or laws! You guys mostly hunt rogues!" Emilia was ignored.

"Rogues or not, werewolves are nothing but filthy animals that need to be extinguished from the face of the Earth. They bring nothing but destruction and pain." Tristan began to pace back and forth. "I will never forgive them. They killed my wife."

Alyara gasped; she remembered Marco telling her that his mother died when he was young, an accident. "Marco told me that his mother died in an accident. He lied so I wouldn't know the truth of what he was. I'm so sorry."

"Sorry? Well, you have no blame for her death, but..." He stopped pacing. "You are with the kind that killed her."

Emilia growled. "Our pack wouldn't hurt a soul. We have laws and care for the well-being of other packs and humans! The werewolves you're talking about are rogues. Not all of our kind is evil!"

"Your damn kind aren't innocent! All of you are nothing more than a mistake of nature!"

Alyara felt the tension in the air. She worried more about Emilia and if Tristan would try to kill her. "Mr. Tristan, I can tell you still hold anger, hate, and pain for losing your wife. I can imagine your wife was truly a rare gem. However, I doubt your wife would have wanted to see you like this." She took a deep breath. "Why did you take us?"

Tristan was silent momentarily. "He needs to die; they all need to die." The two women were confused. "Werewolves are nothing more than animals that harm and kill. You say that not all of them are bad, but they still have the nature of a wolf. They are a danger to humanity; they need to die."

"You're insane! A hunter only must kill werewolves who hurt humans. That is the treaty hunters, and werewolves made centuries ago! What you want is genocide!" yelled Emilia.

The older man shrugged as he stood by the exit. "Maybe it is. I know that your mates will try to find you and will find this place. When they do, you both will be the last thing they will see when I stick a knife in their throats. As for you..." He looked at Alyara. "I don't want to kill a human, but if you interfere, I will have to kill you too." Tristan walked out of the room.

Everything was too much to take in. "He wants to kill our mates! I am trying to mind-link him, but there is a barrier where it doesn't allow me! Damn these hunters!" Emilia was about to cry, but Alyara went to comfort her.

"Don't overdo yourself, or you will harm yourself and the baby. We need to be positive; I know Isaiah and Darren won't get themselves killed." However, deep down, Alyara was worried and scared. All she could do was pray for the best.

Arturo was in his office doing paperwork that Tristan had left behind. He was doing more of Tristan's responsibilities with Marco's help. However, he hadn't seen Tristan for two days. Arturo was worried, but he couldn't let it get to him. As he was doing paperwork, he could sense auras outside the house. "Werewolves!"

He was the only one at headquarters and knew he couldn't outfight them. Arturo got his machine gun with silver bullets and was about to sneak to the back door, but then he heard someone. "Uncle Arturo, it's me!"

"Marco?" Arturo was confused but relieved. He went outside the house, and to his shock, Marco was with two men. However, he felt werewolf auras around him; they were hiding, but they didn't do a good job of it.

"Marco, why are you with-!?"

"Uncle, we don't have time. Where's my dad?"

"I-I told you that he's been acting strange. I haven't seen him for almost two days."

"So, he's not at home!?"

Arturo shook his head. "Marco, what's going on? Why are you with these werewolves?"

Suddenly, Isaiah grabbed Arturo's shirt and pushed him to the house wall, using his super speed. Isaiah's eyes were pitch black. "Listen here, hunter. I'm Isaiah's wolf, Rafael, and I'm not in the mood! Your brother, or whoever he is, took my and my Beta's mate! We will not leave here until we find them!"

Marco ran toward Rafael, who was in control of Isaiah's body. "Don't hurt him! You need to calm down! I told you that they might be at the prisons!"

"As much as I hate to admit it, he's right, Alpha! Please calm down!" said Darren.

Arturo was slowly processing what was going on. He couldn't believe that Tristan would be capable of such things. The question is, why? Hunters and werewolves had laws and agreements and wouldn't kill each other without reason. Then, his eyes became wide. "No, he can't."

"Uncle, we need your help to stop my dad from doing something stupid! Isaiah's pack is outside, ready for war. Please take us to the prisons!"

A sigh escaped the older man. "Alright, let's go stop Tristan from killing us all!"
