"you'll be suprised by my indefatigability"
Ever since you allowed me to court and pursue you, I felt determined to make you feel the love and appreciation that you truly deserve. I also wanted to get to know you even more. Currently I'd say I still have a lot more to know about you, but I also did discover a lot of things about you while I was courting you. Including some of your pet peeves and life experiences, I also asked you what your type was in a guy, and oh what can I say, my hopes were at an all time low.
It seems I was the polar opposite of what you were looking for in a guy, we agreed that I'd get my answer from you 5-6 months after I started courting you. I also promised that I'd accept it whatever your response was, because I was loving you without the expectation of reciprocation. I loved you just for the sake of loving you, without expecting anything in return. Even if you rejected me and I'll only have you as a friend, it's better than not having you at all.
I was fully expecting getting no for an answer, oh how wrong I was.
