I was able to go to art, English, and health without any trouble, but now I have to go to lunch. The only place where I can sit without getting harassed is at the table right next to the trash cans. It's a terrible spot if you ask me. All the disgusting unknown substances the school likes to call food end up all over my "normal foods". I bring my lunch everyday because I refuse to eat horse meat mixed with squash, or whatever that crap is. I have to buy all my food though, because my parents are convinced they don't need to buy me anything because I have a job. The only good thing about lunch is that I get to sit with Max. Max lives in a fairly poor household, so he's always begging me for food, because he also won't eat "horse and squash". I still share though, because I understand where he's coming from with these. "So what's the menu today?" Max looks at me with an excited expression. He always gets this way around this time. "Horse and squash." He gives me a dirty look, "not that menu, your menu." I pulled some Little Debbie strawberry shortcake rolls out of my lunch box and held them up. "You mean these?" Max snatched them from my hands. "Yes! Thank you!" I end up just giving all my food to Max, I'm not very hungry anyways. Max goes on and on about random crap, god that boy has a big mouth. Don't get me wrong, he is my best friend, but he talks a lot for someone his size. Ding! Ding! Ding! The bell rings and we're off to fifth hour science.
