The bus ride seemed to take forever, but eventually I got to my dreaded destination. High school. Like always, I was the last one off the bus and into the parking lot. I quickly walked inside the school. Max was waiting for me at the door, as usual. "Hey Jadyn, bad weekend?" I didn't even have to say anything. He runs up to me and pulls me into a bear hug and says, "there, there," like a complete idiot. We have an extremely weird friendship. "It's okay Max, there's nothing you can do to make it better." He squeezes me tighter. "No, I can't, but I can still give you bear hugs!" He finally lets go and puts me down with a smile. He wastes his time. He tries so hard to help, but it never works. I still try to act happy around him though, make him feel like he's doing me a favor. The bell rings for first hour, Max and I say our goodbyes and he walks away to English. I linger at my locker for a little while because my social studies class is right around the corner. Big mistake.
I start walking to class, and as I turn the corner, Felicia Davis, the queen bee of the school, and her no-good fugly boyfriend, Pete Andrew's, slam me into a locker. "Where you goin' emo girl?"his face was almost touching mine, and his breath smelled like rotten eggs. "I'm going to class dipshit" I say as I spit on his nose. He didn't like that, so I get a punch in the boob. "If you mess with my boyfriend again, I will kill you, oh wait, I don't have to. You're just another emo girl, so you'll end up doing it yourself." God, I hate that bitch. I'd hit her, hard too, but I can't. I can't risk getting kicked off the cheer team. Cheer is the only place where I don't get treated like a doormat. There, everyone's nice to me. People always make fun of the 'emo cheerleader', but I don't care. Cheer is my passion, and that's that. Pete pushed me and told me to get to class, because he doesn't want me to be late, then teachers will get suspicious, so I give up and walk into social studies, the boring class ever.
