Just minutes ago, Wednesday Addams had began to get settled into her dorm room. This year, she was Enid's roommate again. They had visited each other over the break, but it had been weeks now since then. Wednesday glanced around the room, her eyes falling upon the duct tape that had been put in place from last year. Enid already had everything unpacked, but Wednesday didn't know where she was.
Wednesday pulled her black sheets from her trunk and fought to put them on the old mattress. She ran two fingers along the sheets, which were made out of silk. Her entire bedspread was made out of silk. As soon as that was done, the door to the dorm opened. She didn't even get to turn around before she felt arms wrap around her waist, and Wednesday's heart began to race as a familiar scent flooded her nose. Enid. Her beloved.
Over the break, Wednesday had begun to realize her feelings for Enid. She was madly in love with Enid, obsessed even. And it drove her mad. She hated caring about someone, and she especially hated the feeling of missing someone. "Wednesday!!" Enid shouted, spinning Wednesday around in her arms. Wednesday flinched away from her out of instinct, and Enid immediately let her go. "Sorry.. too soon?" She sheepishly grinned, lacing her fingers behind her back.
Wednesday shook her head no. She craved the touch like it was the only thing her life depended on. Enid's face lit up and she grabbed Wednesday in her arms again, gently swaying with the shorter girl. Wednesday reluctantly wrapped her arms around the lycan, breathing in her familiar scent. Enid smelled of roses, lavender, and faintly of wet dog. Wednesday's heart pounded in her chest, begging to break free. She was almost sure that Enid could hear, and feel it.
Wednesday almost drowned as Enid released her. She watched as the taller girl bent down to grab one of the black trunks on the floor, then set it on the bed and opened it. "Let me help, the faster you're done unpacking the faster we can go to the quad. Ajax asked me to meet him." Enid looked up at Wednesday and grinned, but Wednesday didn't return it. She felt a pang of longing in her chest and anger filled her. She didn't understand why she felt this way.. was it jealousy?
No. Wednesday Addams couldn't get jealous.. right?
