Chapter 17

MAYAS POV:

"Riley I wanted to give you this"

"A friendship ring?"

"Yeah, you see a ring is round and it has no end, just like our friendship. I know we had our ups and downs, and I gonna miss how we talk everyday, but someday you have to realise that you have to let people stay in your heart, but not your life. I don't know if I will be back but sometimes you have to accept that certain things will never go back to the way they use to be"

I saw tears streaming down Riley's face.

"I use to not believe that...I'm gonna miss you. And out of all the friends I ever met, you're the one I won't forget. And if I doe before you, I'll be up in heaven waiting for you" Riley said holding back tears.

We hugged for a good five minutes.

After I was done talking to Riley, I brought in Lucas.

We sat in the window and we just looked at each other not breaking eye contact.

"Lucas, you're a really good friend of mine and good friends are hard to find even harder to leave, and impossible to forget. And true friends don't grow apart, even if they don't talk everyday. I'm gonna miss you huckleberry" I started to tear up.

Lucas brought me in for a hug, he kissed the top of my head.

"I'm going to miss you more, and everything is gonna be okay because friendship means understanding not agreement, it means forgiveness and not forgetting, and it means memories last, even if contact is lost. No matter where you are, or how long we stay apart or don't talk, you'll always be my Best friend, who I share the best memories with"

Lucas started crying. We brought each other in for another hug.

We both came out Riley's room, both crying.

"Well I better get the rest of my things I said not even looking at Farkle.

I left to go get the rest of my stuff packed.

FARKLES POV:

"I can't believe she didn't say goodbye to me? After all I went through for her."

"I'm sorry Farkle" Lucas came beind me rubbing my back.

I stormed out to find Maya.

I ran to my house and went into the guest room where she was.

"Do you not care?!" I scream. "Thanks for the goodbye!"

"Do you really think I didn't say goodbye because I didn't care?"

"That's what it seemed like!"

"For the whole time you've known me, have you not learned anything about me?"

"Then why didn't you say goodbye"

"Because it is too damn hard! I can't even explain how much I'm gonna miss you! When I think about not seeing you, it makes me not want to go! So if you think I didn't say goodbye to you because you didn't mean as much to me as everyone else, you're wrong, it's because you mean the most to me! So there's you're goodbye"

I saw tears filling her eyes. I felt awful.

I saw her turn around to leave.

"Maya!" I call out. "You can't- you-"

"What!?" She screams.
