Cortez's POV:

• • •

[ OCTOBER 30TH - 12 HOURS LEFT ]

[ 6:00 AM ]

I'm out of time. I'm out of fucking time. My breath was ragged as I was woken from my peaceful sleep with my mate in my arms, I was breathing heavily, and Bravian seemed agitated. The only thing keeping me from going insane was obvious: Wesley being kept safe in my arms and right by me, his touch on my body, and him overall.

.. I love him so fucking much. My arm gripped tighter around Wesley, making sure he was completely secure. His response to that was sleepily wrapping his arms around me while making the softest groaning sound I've ever heard.

".. I'm going to mark him.. bite him.. anything just to fucking taste him." "If he consents, Bravian." "I'm not a goddamn monster, of course it will be to his wishes." "Good, and it better stay that way."

Wesley turned over and nuzzled his face into the side of my chest, causing me to let out a very deep and low moan. I tried catching myself at first, but it let out too fast. "Holy shit, Wesley's ass is going to be sore for the next year." "We don't even know if he'll want to do that. Having sex with a werewolf does not seem pleasing for his first time." "Well, with how we've been painfully hard for the past 10 minutes, you know you want him to consent." "Shut up, Bravian."

I looked back down at Wesley, and his handsome face was snoring away. I felt my heartbeat quicken more as I observed him; he was just too cute. His dark skin was an amazing shade, his black curls covered his sleeping face perfectly, his slim form overall was absolutely sexy. He's all mines. Nobody else's. My arm tightened around Wesley again, and it led to him rubbing into my chest once more.

"I really hope he accepts us." Bravian's tone of voice changed from confident to doubtful. A wolf always wants their mate, so not even Bravian can deny any of his doubts. "Can you blame me? We prolonged trying to dump everything on him by giving him the lycanthropy book that your father wrote for him specifically, but no amount of reading could prepare him for this.."

"I believe he'll accept us. He did not seem too dismissive of the concept, and he did go back to read more of the book even after putting it down." ".. I hope you're right about this Cortez, you know how Alphas get when they're rejected in that form." "We will not go on a rage-influenced killing spree." "Well, tell that to the horde of bears we killed that one time because we were angry and frusterated about Taurus finding his mate before us."

Damn, we did kill a horde of bears out of anger. I'm surprised he remembers that still. That horde was a danger to the pack's pups anyway, the mothers were scared for their children. I was just being a good future Alpha and taking care of the situation. Yep, that was it.

.. that is not it.

"See?" "Shut up." "I told you we should've just told him sooner."

I tried to focus my mind back to laying in bed with my mate, whose snores were the only thing keeping me content at the moment. But, Bravian's thoughts just ran else where. I tried blocking him out of my mind, but couldn't. I knew I couldn't, but I still tried anyway. My eyes frantically looked around the room to try and distract myself, until I heard something: faint panting.
