Chapter 1: Rogue's acting up

Rogue's POV

"Hey Sting can we talk?" I asked my partner Sting Eucliffe. "Yeah sure Rogue!" Sting gave me a big smile that made my heart flutter. "I-I mean could we talk alone?" I asked him looking down. "Eh? O-Okay?" I brought him outside behind are guild. "What did you want to talk about?" Sting asked me. "Um...... Sting f-for a long time now..... I've...... I've been in love with-." "Sting-sama!" Yukino called. "Oh Yukino." Sting smiled. Eh? Yukino ran over to Sting's side. He wrapped his arm around her waist bring her close to his side. Wh.... What's going on? Sting looked back at me. "Oh sorry Rogue I guess you're the last person to hear about this." Sting scratched the back of his head. H-Hear about what? "Sting-sama and I are dating." Yukino cheered. That's when my hole world stopped. "Isn't it great?" Sting smiled big. I feel like crying. "Y-Yeah that's wonderful." I can't believe this is happening. "So Rogue what was it you wanted to talk to me about?" Sting asked me again. I..... I can't tell him now. "I-It's nothing. It's not important." I want to burst in tears. "Huh? Are you sure-?" "I have to go now. Frosch is waiting for me." I started to run away from them. "Hey Rogue!" Sting called my name. I could feel tears rolling down my face. It hurts! It hurts! If I could have told him soon! Rogue-kun. I'm so stupid! Rogue-kun!

I shot my eyes open seeing Frosch on my chest. "Good morning Rogue-kun!" So it was a dreaming. Or I should say reality pushing it's way into my dreams. I sat up, Frosch sliding down to my lap, I rubbed his head. "Good morning." I smiled. Frosch jumped off my lap and walked off. I got off my bed, walking over to my closet. "Frosch stay in the house. Don't wander off!" I called out. "Fro will stay!" Frosch called. I changed into some new clothes. I walked out of my room, seeing Frosch on the counter waiting for me. "Let's go." Frosch nodded and jumped off the counter. We walked out of are house. I closed the door behind us. "Rogue-kun! Rogue-kun!" Frosch called my name. "Yes Frosch?" I chuckled. "Can we go to the guild and see Lector and Sting?" Sting. Hearing his name just makes me remember that I can't have him. "Rogue-kun!" I snapped out of my thoughts. "Wh-What?" I answered. "Are we going?" Frosch asked me. "O-Oh yeah we are." We started to walk to the guild. I didn't want to see Sting. Every time I see him all I want to do is hug and kiss him. I can't be near him. I would tell Frosch I don't want to go but Lector is his only friend and he likes spending time with him. I sighed. I guess I just have to deal with it.

~Sabertooth guild~

Frosch walked off looking for Lector. I sat down at one of the tables. It was peaceful until two strong arms wrapped around my neck. "Rogue!!!!" I know that voice. Sting. My heart started to race. I could feel my face heating up. He's so close! I pushed him off. "Let go!" I pushed him away. I turned my back not facing him anymore. "Geez Rogue your no fun." He sat down next to me. He's still to close. I scooted away from him. "Why did you move away?" He asked me. I looked away not answering his question. "Rogue are you okay? You haven't been acting like yourself." Sting said trying to look me in the eye. I kept avoiding eye contact. "Rogue listen I don't like when you-." "Sting-sama!" Yukino interrupted Sting. I looked over seeing her running over to us. She hugged him from behind with a smile on her face. "Yukino you surprised me." Sting smiled brightly. My heart fell. "I'm sorry." She kissed his cheek. "That bitc- N-No don't Rogue you don't know what your thinking." I thought trying to calm myself. While Yukino and Sting were talking I got up from my seat and started to walk out the guild. I should have told Frosch I was staying home it was stupid of me to come to the guild. I walked out of the guild just when I was about to walk home someone grabbed my wrist. I turned my head seeing it was Sting.

"You can't be leaving now?! You just got here." Sting said. My heart started pound. I can't have him see me like this. "Let go!" I shouted ripping my wrist out of his grip. I turned my back away from him. "Rogue what the hell!" He shouted which made me jolt a bit. "I have no idea what's wrong with you but you can tell me. I care about you Rogue." His words made me blush. "Y-You-." "I mean we are best friends and partners after all." He cut me off. I frowned. Why can't he see? He's so clueless! "That's non of your concern. You don't need to know everything that's going on with me." I don't want his kindness. "What? Come on Rogue don't be like-." "Stop caring about me! We aren't friends. We are only partners, nothing more, nothing less." If he cares this much about me it will be hard for me to move on. "Rogue-." "The only thing you have to care about is the guild, Lector and Yukino. Don't worry about me." I cut him off. "Hey-." "Just stop! Cause I don't care about you. You are only my partner. That doesn't mean you have to care about me." I started to walk off. "Rogue!" Sting shouted my name but I didn't stop walking. I could feel tears weld up in my eyes. "Sorry Sting. I'm so sorry." I thought tears rolling down my eyes.

Sting's POV

I watched Rogue walk off. "What the hell? Why did he say all those things? Did I do something to hurt him?" I thought, going back into the guild. "Yo Sting! Where did Rogue go?" Lector asked flying up to me. "He left." I answered. "Fro will go!" Frosch said flying out of the guild. "Wait Frosch! You'll get lost I'll go with you!" Lector flied after him. "I guess I'm not that surprised that Frosch wants to be with Rogue but I would expect him to stay just for a little while." I thought and sat down next to Yukino. "What's wrong?" She wrapped her arms around me, cuddling with me. "Oh it's Rogue. He's acting strange. He said to me to stop caring about him. I think he lied when he said he didn't care about me." I told Yukino. "Hmm..... maybe he's upset because you haven't spent anytime with him." Yukino told me. "Yeah that could be it." I said. "How about you hang out with him tomorrow. Just the two of you." Yukino suggested. "Yeah that sounds like a great idea! Thanks Yukino! Your the best!" I hugged her. She giggled. "Yeah I know I am." She smiled brightly. I kissed her lips. She kissed me back right away. Man I love Yukino so much!!
