Y/N POV
Did I ever think I'd wind up courting a prince? Not by a mile. But somehow, here I am, in Mirkwood, with Legolas holding my hand, and my heart.

I ran, ran for my life. The giant spiders close on my trail. I saw a large tree, which I quickly scrambled up into.
I figured I was in the realm of Mirkwood, home to the woodland elves. I didn't mean to wind up here, but I had been chased by orcs into the dark forest. Only when I finally lost the orcs, the spiders appeared. They had chased me to my current position, which happened to be up a tree. Which wasn't the smartest idea considering the spiders lived in the trees too. I leaped from tree to tree, using my elvish strength to boost me farther then any human.
I went on like that for a long time, leaping through the trees away from the spiders. Finally, I could hear the spiders no more. I made sure that I had lost them, but I couldn't be sure. I let out a huge sigh of exhaustion and sheathed my swords, still in a place where I could reach them easily if the spiders returned.
I made my way to a small crook in the branch to rest. I always loved climing trees, so I felt just as safe up high in the branches as I did on the ground.
My body was overwhelmed with tiredness. I had been on the run for days, tracking a pack of orcs. I was from Rivendell, another home of the elves. I was a warrior, and I liked to adventure out of my homeland into new realms. But this is the farthest I'd ever gone. I had caught the trail of an orc pack that I had followed for miles, planning an attack. I didn't realize the sheer amount of them, and I was over powered. That's the reason I ended up in this forest.
My head ached and I rested it on the branch next to me. I cleaned my cuts and scrapes with a cloth from within my pack.
Just then, I heard a screech and the last thing I saw was the eight eyes of a giant beast looking down at me as I was knocking from the tree.

I opened my eyes only to find that I was in a mysterious room. Branches reached around every corner, and sunlight leaked through leaves that layed just outside the door.
A blonde elf walked into room. I just layed their dumbstruck, completely awestruck by the angelic elf. He wore the clothes of a warrior, mostly browns and organic colors. He carried a box, tied with twine.
"Ah, your awake."
"Um, hello" I responded, pushing myself up from the bed.
"No, rest." Said the elf gesturing for me to lay back down. He must have noticed by ears, or assumed by the way I spoke, that I was an elf too. "Boe de nestad" He said to me.
"Selman mana?"
"We found you injured in the forest. I am Legolas, son of Thranduil."
I mulled the name Legolas over in my head. It was beautiful.
"I am y/n, from Rivendell."
"But why are you being so kind to me, I was found in your realm?"
"Those spiders are nasty creatures. And you were alone. Bringing you here is the least I can do."
"Le fael"
Legolas nodded, and brought the small box to the table besides me.
"I brought you lembas, you should eat. And rest. I will return briefly. I can tell you more then."
I nodded and placed my hand to my heart.
He did the same, then turned and left.

I don't have time to finish this so I'm going to make a part 2!
