Chapter 2 "a new beginning"

HazelKits Pov

I woke up and saw it was raining and my eyes lit up I turned to my sister beckoning her to wake up when she wouldn't i looked out of the den. I smiled as I saw mistlepaw outside and I felt my cheeks go hot at the sight of him. I Shaked my head And got up and ran outside to play in the snow I got up on my hindlegs and swiped at the snow when a snowflake fell on my nose. I sneezed then fell back into the ice cold snow my eyes shut out of shock I opened them again to see a concerned looking mistlepaw and I blushed. I heard him speak. "Are you alright hazelkit I think you need to go back to your foster mother you can come play later morning in leafbare is worse than Sunfall but night is the worse anyways lets go back" nudges hazelkit back into the den "Goodmorning vixenleap" I saw vixenleap smile "Goodmorning to you aswell mistlepaw is that the leader of CrescentClan?." I looked out when my foster mother said that and I saw a Slim Sandy cat with muscles walk into the leaders den and then I fell asleep again snoring loudly.

A few minutes later

I woke up and saw snowStar infront of me with the other tom and then I heard my mother speak "How could you do this their kin they deserve to be together snowstar!" I saw my foster mother looking devastated as she had took a liking to us both then snowstar spoke "It's for the best GorseStar Pick a kit" I saw gorsestar glance at us both then at my sister "the brown one" I saw him go and pick her up "crescentkit Put her down!!! Put my sister down" I teared up and I looked back at my foster mother who had her eyes closed In defeat and snowstar looked guilty I looked back and ran out of the den to see them leaving I ran to the medicine den I saw mistlepaw and ran over screaming his name "Mistlepaw! MISTLEPAW!!" I digged my head into his soft fur "They took crescentKit they took her my sister.." I nuzzled him crying as he crouched down "Don't worry HazelKit you'll see her when your a warrior at the gatherings" I looked up at him with tears flowing down my soft and long grey and white pelt "I can't wait that long to see her she belongs in mothclan with us s-she has no idea in CrescentClan!!" I saw him look confused at what to say to her "You will see her soon.do not worry" he licked her head in comfort and she blushed then realised it was for comfort I then saw ThrushFlight Walk in Mistlepaws mentor and I moved away from mistlepaw walking away

HazelKits Mind:
I would be 5 moons tommorow I missed my real mother..I wonder what would have happened if we didn't leave...we would have been like her I. Hope I will see her again..

Mistlepaws Pov:

I paced around the medicine den as thrushflight was sorting herbs I was meant to go on the journey with snowstar tommorow to the moonpool I was nervous about what starclan would say to us I didnt know what to do. I walked over to thrushFlight. "Thrushflight I'm meant to go too the moonpool tommorow with snowstar and I have no clue what to do when I get their or what to say I'm so nervous-" I felt thrushflight bat me on the back of the head "Stop Panicking so much mouseBrain..You'll be alright just do what you did when I took you to get accepted too be a medicine cat apprentice about a moon ago you will be alright trust me also hazelkit seemed to take a interest in you remember when your older what you are when I pass" he seemed to have a serious tone in his voice and then I realised what he meant "But I'm pretty sure moonpaw likes me aswell since we were good friends I'm just not sure if she knows I cant take a mate or have kits I'm so concerned" I heard my mentor sigh in dissapointment and when he looked at me had a glare in his eyes which seemed as if it was anger but he didn't show it on the expression on his face I then shook my head "Do you need help sorting those herbs" I asked with a gentle tone of voice to settle the tension "No I will be fine thank You Mistlepaw but you could go make sure whitecloud in the elders den is alright since they said their leg injury was bothering them" I nodded And grabbed herbs and walked out and to the elders den and I peaked into the nursery seeing hazelkit sleeping but with dried tears in her eyes and seems quite concerned but shakes it off "She just misses her sister I don't know what I would do if I lost SneezeNose Hes my brother after all I would be grieving all day and night" I arrived at the elders den and walked in I saw whiteclouds leg injury had gotten worse and turned into a ghastly sight to look at "whitecloud we have to get you to the medicine den now, those wounds look terrible" I helped her get to the medicine den as one of the other elders helped me and I layed her down in one of the most comfiest moss nest you could find in the whole of thunderclan camp i padded up to thrushFlight "The injury has gotten extremely worse its turned into an infection which looks like rotten fresh kill" I said to thrushFlight he looked at me then padded to whitecloud "They will survive I need to go to collect some marigold so you can stay here and care for whitecloud until I come back to camp" I saw thrushflight walk out and I got nervous as I don't know what to do if someone is dying or if they need serious medical help

A few minutes later

I was pacing around the den when I heard a scream from whitecloud I turned around and saw a rat was biting on them and the wound and I ran over quickly and swiped the rat away with one paw I quickly got cobwebs and tried to cover all her wounds and did successfully but by the time I finished they had already gone to starclan "This is all my fault they're dead If I was looking that rat wouldn't have got them may starclan light your path I hope you forgive me whitecloud" I sat down distressed and anxiety raising in my body I heard someone walk in and gasp "Mistlepaw..is whitecloud alright." I heard him get closer then stop "She's dead thrushFlight and it's all my fault! A rat came and attacked her if I was looking she wouldn't have gotten mauled and nipped at I'm so sorry I know it's my fault" I held my head low then I felt a tail rest on my back and I looked at thrushflight "Listen mistlepaw her death wasn't your fault.. don't blame yourself I shall go report her death to snowstar he will be devastated.." I heard him leave and I grabbed her scruff and pulled her outside and layed her in the middle of camp so the cats could come and grieve for her and then it hit me no one had found out yet and I heard everycat gasp and I felt a pelt come and brush against me and i saw moonpaw whitecloud was her grandparent I felt terrible for my best friend. As nightfall came the whole clan had been informed by snowstar as he sat vigil the whole night for her I went to my nest and had a sick feeling in me and I managed to fall asleep
