Vic's POV

I couldn't believe it.

after so long of searching, I had finally found her.

I wasn't going to let her go again.

Either I would bring her home, or I would die trying.

Denise's POV

I was texting Brendon, giggling quietly at a joke he made.

Jaime was sitting across from Faith, trying to talk to her, trying to get her to talk to him, but she hadn't said a word in weeks, not since Nina disappeared.

Suddenly Jaime jumped up, slamming his hand onto the table and knocking over his chair in the process.

"What the hell Faith!?"

i saw her bottom lip tremble slightly as she looked down, playing with her hands in her lap.

Jaime was yelling now.

"I've spent weeks, trying to get you to speak, putting up with your selectively mute bullsh*t, it is over! I am so f*cking done!"

he stormed out the door, slamming it behind him.

I looked at Faith, she didn't look sad.

once again, she didn't look anything, like a shell of a person.

"What is your problem Faith? Why won't you just tell someone what's wrong?"

she got up and headed towards her room, turning to face me once she got to the hallway.

Her voice was soft and quiet, just a little but quieter from not being used in so long.

"All he did was yell," she looked towards the door, "he didn't care enough to stay, so why should I care about him? He didn't know me enough to see that something was wrong, no one seems to see that I'm not okay, that it's not alright, because it isn't. Trust me, because this is a promise."

She turned and walked into her room.

Nina's POV

He had let me out of the basement again.

Free to wander in the mirror less house.

I mean, seriously, I didn't know Catoptrophobia was a thing, and Chris?

Of all people?

i looked out the window and saw him putting lighter fluid on something.

"what are you doing?" I called out to him.

"I'm burning this. I have to keep and eye on it or it wil burn the house down."

I nodded and went off to explore.

i found a draw with a loaded gun in it.

What an idiot I thought to myself, hiding it on my body.

i walked into the living room to see him sitting down in his chair, bringing a chocolate chip cookie up to his face.

"Put that cookie down mother f*cker!"

He turned and I got the satisfaction of seeing the surprise on his face as I pulled the trigger, splattering his brains against the wall.

I was surprised with what I had done, I had never killed anyone before.

i don't know how long I sat there, staring at the scene before me, but soon I smelled smoke.

I looked around to see that the house was in flames, because no one had been watching the fire.

Frantic, I ran, with acrid fumes filling my lungs, I began to feel dizzy from the smoke.

My vision became blurry as I headed towards the door and I soon fell as my world faded to black.
