Nina's POV
"So... Where are we going to get the money?" The way he looked at me made my heart flutter, I could see that he trusted me fully and was completely on board with my plan.
"I' m going to go to the bank and pull out all of my money in cash." He almost choked on a french frie.
"But that's all you have!"
"I know, but it would be worth it to live the rest of my life without being afraid that my own shadow is going to shoot me."
Later that day, we went down to the ATM and after Vic's constant insisting and a short argument, he drew out some cash too. We went back to the house and backed our bags when there was a knock on the door. It was the rest of the band and Faith.
"Leaving so soon?" Faith asked when she saw the luggage in the hallway.
"I have to." Faith nodded in understanding.
"i know." and she gave me a hug.
"Just get back soon..." she whispered in my ear. She sounded close to tears.
She already knew what was going on because I texted her and Denise on the way back to the house. I looked into her watery blue eyes smiled reasuringly.
"I will."
"Pinky promise?" I rolled my eyes.
"How old are you?" I muttered as I wrapped my pinky around hers. That seamed to reasure her and she smiled brightly.
"I'm this many years old." she said in a baby voice as she held up three fingers.
"Where are you going Vic?" Mike asked. He looked at us like he thought we would run off to Canada.
"Nina and I are going on a vacation."
Where to?" He asked.
"California."
Sometimes it scares me how easlily he can lie...
