Church honestly sucks.

I jumped slightly when I heard banging on my door, I slid out of bed and opened it up. Seeing my brother, Jacob, I was thrilled, maybe he wanted to talk, maybe he was going to say he thought it was fine, maybe-

"Get ready for church." He said, cutting off my thoughts. My lips fell into a deep frown.

"I have to go?"

"Mom said that maybe they can talk some sense into you." He says, nodding.

"Oh..."

He shuts the door and I walk to my closet slowly, wondering if I took too long they would just leave me for the sake of not being late.

-

The car pulled into the parking lot, it was already almost packed.

Everyone jumped out of the car, and walked toward the doors, I trudged slowly behind, wishing I could be anywhere but here.

-

"And we have some news, I was called last night by one of our members..." The preacher called, practically spitting on his microphone, I waited in boredom to hear the name of someone in the hospital with some sort of illness asking for prayers.

"Called and told me that their daughter is having thoughts that she is gay."

My almost jumped out of my skin, my family turned to me and. Everyone twisted in their seats to see this horrible person.

He looked towards me "her name is Ellie Harp."

Gasps echoed around the room, surprised that a girl that had been involved in the church since she was five would do something so horrible, I honestly wished that I could just change. Be different. Be normal.

My heart climbed into my throat as people turned to stare at me, some have looks of pity, some disgust, and some confusion.

"We would like for you to speak to her, and pray for her. Maybe allow her to realize this is the wrong decision."

WHY? Why does he think he can announce this to the hundreds of people in here, make them all look at me as if I was a monster!

"That is all for today, thank everyone for coming." He ended his sermon and left the stage.

Shit shit shit! I muttered to myself, searching all the exits to see the best place to leave without detection.

"Ellie!" I heard a shout, I turned my head and saw my friend Reed standing there.

"You're gay? Why do you think that?!"

The affect that these words had on me was surprisingly high, my eyes watered and I looked down "I can't help it"

"Of course you can! Maybe if you'd stop watching all those fags on the Internet you wouldn't think you're like them!" I knew why he said this.

~flashback~

"Eeee!" I squealed, almost throwing my phone on the ground "It's real!"

I immediately called Reed, excited to tell him the news.

"Reed Reed, guess what!" I screeched, probably almost breaking his ears but I didn't care, I was overjoyed at the news!

"What is it Ellie?" He asked absentmindedly, probably playing some video game.

"I'm trying to play Minecraft!" He groaned, I hear him smashing the keyboard "Yes! Diamonds!"

"Oh nice, anyway..."

"What is it this time?"

"PHAN CAME OUT!"

"What... Oh those guys actually are gay...?"

"Yes!"

"So are you finally gonna stop watching them?"

I frowned "why would I want to stop watching them?"

"Because they are disgusting. Whatever, do whatever you want with your life, I don't care." I knew he was lying, he was a bit controlling sometimes and literally seemed to care more about making me do what he wants then making himself do it. But I let it slip.

"Ugh, whatever. Bye." I hung up, knowing I'd probably made him angry, but he didn't have to be a dick about it.

~flashback over~

"Reed, you do realize that someone else being gay can't affect if I am."

"Whatever" he walked away, turning his head a few times to glare at me before he walked out the door.

"I have to go to the bathroom." I muttered, my mother nodded stiffly and I sprinted off.

Opening the bathroom door, I almost puked when I saw someone was in there.

She turned to me, I instantly noticed her -definitely not natural- bright red hair, she had side sweeping bangs similar to mine and was applying thick eyeliner She was about a head taller then me, and I knew that standing beside her I would look like a midget.

"Hi" I muttered, turning away from her to hide my tears.

She waved "Hey, I'm Kacey." She cocked her head, trying to see my face.

"Are you ok- are you the girl they where talking about?"

I looked up with watery eyes, guiltily nodding.

"Hey hey!" She said, coming beside me and hugging me "it's okay. I know you can't help it."

I looked up "really?" I asked tearfully, I felt her chin press against the top of my head as she nodded.

"It's not your fault." She whispered in my ear, rubbing my back, "can I... Can I tell you something"

I nodded.

"I'm... I'm not exactly straight either."

I was shocked, she just told me, little hesitation... She doesn't even KNOW me! Why would she do that?

It has to be a trick.

"Are you... Really?"

She nodded, I slowly peeled away from her, a little hesitantly.

"I've never told anyone. You're a lucky girl I guess. I trust you won't tell."

I nodded quickly, not wanting to betray her trust I swore to myself I wouldn't utter a word about it.

"Good." She smiled, "here uh... Can you call me later?" She asked, she pulled out a piece of paper from her purse and scribbled her name and number on it.

I smiled, looking down I scanned it. 275-302-4568.

"Okay, I better go, if you wanna talk don't hesitate to call me." She sent me a white toothed smile and left the bathroom.

"I definitely will." I said to myself, before wiping my cheeks and leaving.

God help me.

Heyyyy

This chapter was about 1000 words omg I'm proud of myself.

Dan and Phil will appear in a few chapters, I'm so sorry but it will take a tiny bit of time to get to them, since I'm trying to make 1) the pace not to quick and 2) I have a few things that need to happen before I can have them in it.

Anyway, I hope you're enjoying this. Please tell me what you think!

Bye!
