Chapter Seven

~Present Day~

Everyone was sitting around the unlit bonfire. "Alright let's get this bonfire going and uh...I don't think we have any matches or lighters" Noah said. "Don't worry I got it" Ryan said as he picked up a stick and lit it on fire and threw it into the pile of wood. "oh look at I got elemental powers over here," Chase said. Chase started to read Ryan's emotions "Also the answer to that is later," Chase said. Chase started to run, and Ryan started to chase him. They ended up in the woods with Ryan tackling Chase. Ryan grabbed his wrist and put them next to his head. "Damn you aren't really a fast runner," Ryan said. "I am surprised you were able to catch me, also Pink does suit you very much," Chase said. "You are not good with flirting" "Neither are you." "I can tell that you are lying, tell me do you like lying sometimes because it gets me riled up?" Chase looked away and said "Maybe." Ryan holds his chin and tilted it up and was going for a kiss.

Suddenly he got pushed back into a tree. Chase got up and ran over there "Ryan are you ok?" he said. "Yeah, I am fine, there is someone here," Ryan said. "sorry to disturb you two love birds but I gotta talk with my son." Ryan quickly got up and saw who it was. "I wasn't expecting you to show up...especially here," ryan said frustrated. "I was surprised too...recently knowing you inherit both powers." "Both what do you mean both?" Ryan started to get more and more frustrated. "You know about your demon side came from me seeing the note Dorthy left but what you didn't know is that your angel side came from your mom. I was hoping none of y'all had these powers because they are dangerous and I didn't want any of y'all to get hurt." "You knew I had these powers yet you wouldn't tell me the truth." Ryan's eyes began to flicker he was getting angry. "You turned someone into a hellhound, and then you used your powers to push me into a tree...I can't forgive someone who has done all of that" His eyes began to glow he grabbed his head. Wings sprung out of his back.

He looked up and started to smile. Chase backed up knowing the evil look on Ryan's face. "Your son might be too angry right now. But all of the lies and cover-ups you told him well it is the reason he let me out." the demon said. "Are you crazy what are you talking about?" Dave said. "your son and I are very different people, he couldn't handle the powers you gave him so I had to step in. Although he likes to keep me hidden because I don't play nice" "Well Mr I don't play nice. I guess this is a warning.". Dave put his hand up and vines wrapped around Ryan's wrist and arm. "Now listen to me, with one flick of my wrist those vines would get thorns and I don't want to do that to you." A wolf appeared in front of Dave and growled at him. "oh now we got a family reunion, come on Bill I wasn't going to hurt him," Dave said. The wolf transformed into Bill. "And how I was supposed to know that? You seemed way too serious" "I know that is still my son even though his demon side is out."

With them arguing in the background, Ryan fell to the ground with his wings disappearing. Chase ran over there, he woke up. "What happened? Woah what's going on over there?" "old friends arguing." "Yikes...do you want to break up the argument" "An argument with a demon and werewolf, yeah I would pass." "you can try to take their anger away." "eh, I don't know about that" "Come on and try, we can't let it get worse" "ok I would do it."
Chase tried to focus on both of their anger then he raise his hand up a red glow started travelling up his arm. They both started to notice it and look at Chase. "Chase what are you doing?" Bill said, Chase stopped and he realized he made a dumb decision. "I was trying to take away y'all anger but that was dumb and probably dangerous, I NEED TO GO TO A SAFE ROOM."

Chase started to run towards the cabins. Everyone started to follow him. Chase ran into the cabin, and into the safe room. "what's going on?" Kevin asked. "Chase and I went into the woods and they appeared and had an argument, Chase tried to take away their anger, and I am guessing he is wolfing out right now," Ryan said. "Wait wolfing out? Is Chase also a werewolf?" Dave asked. "I mean them two are also werewolves." Ryan pointed to Kevin and Noah. "y'all can catch up I am going check on Chase." Noah said. Noah walked into the cabin and to the safe room. He knocked on the door and open the door. He saw Chase in the corner of the room breathing heavily, his eyes were glowing yellowish gold. He let out a growl then he started to yell. Bill ran into the cabin "Noah what's going on with Chase?" Bill said. "I don't know. I found him like this" Noah said. "Is he wearing silver?" "I guess so, I thought it was supposed to keep him from wolfing out." "it was but that was for small feelings but he took a part of two people's anger. He needs to transform or he going to hurt himself." Bill walked towards Chase and kneel down next to him.

"Hey buddy how are we doing?" Bill said. "Not good...everything hurts right now," Chase said his voice sounding like gravel. "I see you are wearing silver." "Yeah, you told me it's to keep the wolf at bay" "Can I see it?" "Sure" Chase tried to lift up his arm to show him the bracelet. Bill broke the silver bracelet, and Chase pulled his arm back. "why did you do that?" Chase yelled. "I am sorry but you were hurting yourself," Bill said. Chase was trying to hold in the transformation causing him to be more irritable, "I don't want to transform, you would get mad and be like use the silver, why didn't you use the silver," Chase yelled. "Chase, I feel bad for telling you to hide it, but since you learn the truth about all of this it's time for you to learn how to control it the right way, Chase listen to me, if you feel like running into the woods is the best way then go right ahead...run," Bill said. Chase transformed into the brown wolf and ran out into the woods.

~A Few Years Ago~

"CHASE YOU BETTER NOT BE IN MY RV!" Ryan yelled. Chase knew he was mad at him for wrecking him on the last lap, he accidentally ran into the wrong RV after wolfing out. Chase blocked the door of the bathroom. Ryan started to bang on the bathroom door. "CHASE DON'T MAKE ME KICK THIS DOOR OPEN," Ryan yelled. "Don't come in" Chase replied. Ryan kicked open the door breaking the door handle. Ryan walked towards Chase, causing Chase to back into the wall. He grabbed his wrist and put them above his head. "Well, Well, Well, look what we have here. The wolf made his Imp upset" Ryan said. Chase started to feel nervous. "Wh-what are y-you talking about Ryan?" Chase said. "You know darn well what I am talking about. I know about both of our secrets but he doesn't"

Chase started to feel uncomfortable with the stuff Ryan is saying. "Chase, listen to me. He going to know the truth about you and he going to try to hold me down so I wouldn't hurt you." "Why would you want to hurt me aren't you the same person?" "Not exactly but you will learn in dues time," Ryan said before he let go of Chase's wrist and walked out.
