Another Time

First win?

To say my life has went from hell to heaven is an understatement. One call changed my life forever...and alongside my best friend I left the country that never gave a damn about me and flew to the country where my dreams would come true. I remember landing in South Korea....looking around at this amazing city as it passed me by while Mr. Jun drove us to TM entertainment. Jenna all excited and things as we drove. "This is Seoul!!! It's so beautiful!!" She said as she held my hand. "It truly is huh?" I said. "I grew up in Daegu north of here and I reacted the same way as you kids the first time I set foot in Seoul" Mr. Jun said. "What's Daegu like?" Jenna asked. "It's not as big as Seoul is and it's mostly a country city I guess it's similar to Savannah. We have farms and such there where we raise animals for milk, meat and such" Mr. Jun said. "Oh? Cool!" Jenna said. As we got closer to TM entertainment my nerves returned and I gripped Jenna's hand. She returned it comfortingly as I looked at her. "You got this bae!" She said with a huge smile on her face that just warmed me and aided in calming my anxiety. "But what if I don't get big and I have a failed career?" I asked. "That is not gonna happen boo period!" Jenna said.

"But it can" I said. "But it won't!" Jenna said. "How do you know?" I asked. "Because I'm your best fucking friend bitch and I know you. Your easily the most talented guy like ever! Koyomi wouldn't have gone to this length to scout you if she didn't see it too!" Jenna said. "Maybe...." I said. "No maybe! It's easily a yes!" Jenna said. "I have to agree with Ms. Jenna on this Jay. I've known the twins since they were 19 years old they are kind and gentle women and when they see talent it's never wrong. If they believe you are star worthy and went to this length to ensure you signed with them then they see amazing potential in you" Mr. Jun said. "Maybe I just don't see that potential..." I said. "That's a normal thing son many people don't see their worth. It can sometimes take millions of people to point out their worth before they begin to see it but I believe you will see it in time" Mr. Jun said. "You called me son....." I said. "Ah! Sorry just ramblings of an old man" Mr. Jun said. "No it's fine....I've never been called son before..." I said. "Oh? Ah yes the twins told me you were in the LGBTQ+ community...I've heard of the difficulties a child of the community faces especially with their own parents.....well if you'd like you may think of me as your father. I've been a father to the twins for the past 3 years of their lives too after they helped me get back on my feet. So if it pleases you then you may think of me as such" Mr. Jun said bringing tears to my eyes. "Oh nooo he's crying!!!" Jenna said.

"Oh no he's crying!" I said then Mr. Jun pulled over and parked our car. He then got out and opened Jay's door before embracing him. "It's alright Jay you may cry all you like" he said. Once Jay was calm enough Mr. Jun drove us to TM Entertainment. Then our lives kinda sped by like a race. A month after signing with Koyomi Jay debuted as a solo artist and he quickly rose to popularity. We took classes in Korean to learn how to speak properly and act. Now here we are at his show he's giving his fans an amazing performance then his phone rings and I answer it as I walked back towards his dressing room. "Hello?" I answer. "Jenna! Hi it's Meiko here I was calling to ask if you and Jay would come here after the show so we can discuss his future" Ms. Meiko said. "I see no problem with it we'll see you soon" I said. I hung up his phone and walked back to the stage as he was finishing his performance. "Awesome job bae!!!" I said and hugged him. "Thanks it felt awesome!" He said. "Well you just got a call from Meiko and she asked to see us both back at HQ" I said. "Oh? I hope I'm not in trouble" He said. "I doubt it she sounded excited" I said. "OK after the awards we'll dip" he said.

"Think you'll finally have a win?" I asked. "I hope so" he said as we waited in his dressing room for the call up. The call up sounded about 10 minutes later and I stood at the side of the stage as he went up with the rest of the idols that preformed this day. I stood by the side of the stage so anxious not just for me but for Jay he's been dreaming of a win for so long. He is a freshly debuted idol but he's got the skills to win big! I just hope he does. I cross my fingers as the MC's start to speak. Soon the top three singers are announced. "Taking the top three spots and in the running for best performance is....KARA, Ateez, and Jay Ling!" The MC said and I started to tear up as Jay stepped forward along with the other groups. "So unfair!!! He's a solo artist!!! Having him go against two groups!" I cursed to myself as I watched anxiously. "It's bad enough he is against one really huge group but he's also against a 2nd generation returning girl group!" I thought but as I looked at Jay he just had his smile on his face....."he could literally get anything with that smile...." I thought as I blushed slightly. I never hide my feelings from Jay. He's literally the only guy I would date if he liked girls otherwise I'm straight up lesbian because other guys are soooo not him. They don't even hold a candle to him. Despite all he's been through in his life he still stays optimistic and just generally has a happy out look on life. If he didn't he'd probably be dead by now. The MC's speaking broke my train of thought I hadn't even noticed the voting begining. "The audience have spoken and the winner for best performance is" he said as I crossed my fingers, my heart racing as Jay's is no doubt. "Come on pleaseeee!!!" I said lowly.
