The King's Goddess

Chapter Three

It has now been two full days and we are working on the third morning since I found my mate. She has yet to wake up. The Pack Doctor told me that there is nothing to be worried about yet. He said it could just be her brain helping her body heal and process the trauma. Everyone in the Royal Pack know now that I have found my mate. They have been ordered not to tell anyone outside of the pack. I will inform everyone in two weeks time I hope.

In two weeks time is the biannual Mates Ball. The Mates Ball takes place every two years. All the Alphas from around the kingdom come with their mates if hey have one. They also bring any unmarked wolves between the ages of 16-20 so they can try and find their mate. At every ball I have countless she-wolves throw themselves at me but I never reciprocated. I will announce at the start of the ball that I have found my mate. I hope by then she has actually awakened and I can introduce her to everyone.

"Where am I?"

I am jerked out of my musings and completely shocked. I am looking into the stunningly beautiful violet eyes of my mate. She is awake. Myself and my wolf, Leo, are  extatic. I quickly answer. "You are in my pack's hospital."

"How did I get here?"

"I brought you here after me and my men found you in the woods almost three days ago now."

"Thank you. What  -ack am I in? I was trying to get to the Royal Pack to see Alpha King Maximus Black."

I was a little stunned. "What?"

"Yes. When my troubles started my mother sent me a message to get to the Royal Packand find the Alpha King. I was told by her that he would help and protect me and stated that once we touched I would know that it was true and why. I left my home right afterwards but ran in to trouble along the way."

"You are in the Royal Pack already and luckily for you I am the one that found you. I am Alpha King Maximus."

"Do you know why my mother would have sent me to you?"

"I don't know who your mother is but I think I know why she sent you here."

"Why?"

Glancing down at her hand I asked if I could pick it up. Getting her permission I gently clasped her petite hand in both of mine and felt the most amazing sparks. I looked into th e stunned face of my mate as the sparks registered with her before she spoke.

"Your my mate. I never thought I would have one."

"Yes we are mates. I d ont know how your mother knew."

"I do. I will tell you how but it will have to be in a place a little more secure with your Beta in attendance and if he asks he may bring his mate."

Even though I was confused I mind linked Aaron and ask for him and Brita to be in my office in two hours. I then linked with the Doctor to come and check my mate out and see if she could be taken to the Pack House. Aaron linked me back that they would be thee as the Doctor walked through the door.

"It is wonderful to see you awake my Luna."

"Thank you for the excellent care Doctor."

"It was my honor." The Doctor quickly checked her over. "I see no problem with letting you leave. You appear to be completely healed. I will have a nurse bring you some clothes."

"No need. I had Aaron and Brita drop off some last night."

Giving a quick nod, the Doctor quickly walked out the door. I handed the clothes to my mate and patiently waited as she changed in the bathroom. When she stepped out of the bathroom I thought she looked beautiful even a simple pair of jeans and  at-shirt. Glancing down at her feet I was utterly  embarrassed and quickly apologized. 

"I am so sorry."

"Why?"

"I forgot about shoes."

My mate just smiled and laughed at the situation. "I guess you will just have to carry me then."

The smile on my face got big and Leo was jumping around in excitement inside of me at the thought of holding our mate in our arms. I gently picked up her petite form and cradled her in my arms and walked out the doors. the Pack House was about a 10 minute walk from the hospital. All along the way pack members were stepping outside to get even the smallest of glimpses of the new Luna Queen. Walking through the Pack House front door, I quickly made my way to my office and sat in the desk chair. I was still cradling my mate. I wasn't ready to let her go. Feeling a hand on my face, I glanced down and my mate leans up giving me a gentle kiss on the lips whispers thank you before falling asleep.
