Chapter 1: General Fong

After everything crazy was over we all joined some watertribe members heading towards the southern watertribe. I hadn't been getting as much rest as i used to when Zuko was around i missed his arms around me that made me feel safe and his voice that was so gentel i missed it terribly. At night i only had at least 5 hours of sleep until i started to scream because my child was beeing taken from me. So i stayed on the deck and practiced waterbending. Then i heard Aang come towards where i was. "Cant sleep?" I asked Aang. "No what about you?" Said Aang. "The same i keep haveing nightmares if im away from Zuko but with him Im safe to sleep and dream it's like he's my gaurdian Angel from Heaven" i told him. "You want to talk about it?" Aang asked. "Yea it seems silly to be scared of it at first but after i saw Aunt Wu everything made sense and made me scared than ever before" i explained. "So what was so scary?" Asked Aang. "It.....it was my child...."i said and thanked it was dark because tears ran down my cheek but i still think he saw the tears but i didnt care. "He...my baby was stolen by men in masks with all black they took my baby boy..." I cried out and put my hands to my face coverieng me eyes. Then Aand hugged me he was short and didnt pass over my neck but his hug comforted me. "That does sound scary" said Aang. Then i let go went to the side of the ship and threw up. Aang patted my back while i was hurrling. "I think you might be sea sick" said Aang. "If i was id be doing this everyday while i was with Zuko" i said then my eyes widend and rubbed my stomach and half smiled. "What's going on?" Asked Aang. "Just like Zhoa said there's a baby arriveing" i told Aang and his eyes widened in confusion. "I still dont understand?" He said. "Dont you see the way i eat the reason i just started to throw up im haveing a baby" i said in a smile. "Is that even possible? I mean you're just a tenager" said Aang. "Hey trust me there's girls you're age with a baby already and you're like 12 we grow up fast" i said explaining. "Are you sure you're not sick" said Aang hopeing i was. "No and were not telling anyone about any of this! Promise" I said. "I will but arnt they going to find out soon" Aang told me. "Yea they will when it starts to grow" i said looking at my stomach not believing that i had a baby inside me groweing. "Enough of me whats with you?" I asked. "Nothing just a nightmare like you......... I was in the avatar state but i was outside my body watching myself it was scary I was scary" he said. "It sounds like it sorta like when you die and you're soul leaves the body" i said. He looked at me confused. "Come on we have to travel tommorow we should rest" i said and we headed back to our hammock beds. I feel asleep lightly so i wouldn't dream.

In the morning we got packed and found my bag full of my cloths to my phone and everything i was so happy. Then we went to say good bye. "Katara i want you to have this it's water from the spirit oasis it contains special propertys dont loose it" said Paku then they hugged. "Aang these scrolls will help you master waterbending but rember theres no substutue for a real master" then Aang looked ober his shoulder and looked at Katara. I stood infront of master Paku and everyone bowed at me and i looked confused then Master Paku brought something out of the bag and held it up, it was a beautiful torquose circle necklace that had an opening and something in ti."Spirit child i have for you a necklace containing water from the oasis just like Katara's, but also it is a old antique that symbolyses you're strength and honor don't loose it, it is part of the Northern tribe and is now a part of you, also you're a special one be careful of you're actions and words" said Paku and he and the other benders bowed i was confused and bowed back. "Thank you Master Paku" i said gratefully. "Take care sokka" said Paku patting his shoulder and Sokka made a face of disapointment. "Fly straight to earthkingdom base to the east of here, General Fong will provide you with a escort to Omashu there you'll be safe to begin you're earth bending training with King Bumi" said Paku. "Appa yip yip" said Aang and we were off.

An hour later i was stiff from sitting on the ship i could at least walk and swim. I sat next to Aang. "Hey" i said hopeing he'd talk to me. "Hey" he said in his cheerfull voice. "I need to ask you something" i said getting more serious. "Yea what is it?" Aang asked. "Well you know how commander Zhoa and Master Pakku said i was the Spirit child" i said. "Yea what about it" said Aang. "What did they mean by Spirit Child?" I asked. "I dont know i mever thought of that" said Aang and i sighed. "Im pretty sure well figure it out, you'll see" he said trying to cheer me up. I smiled at him and thanked him for telling me then i grabed some paper and found a messed up pencil and put it on my lap and tryed to write i had really missed that a lot. "What are you doing?" Sokka asked me. "What does it look li-ohhhhh right" i said. He looked at me confused. "Im wrighting but i rember you guys write in japenise or chinese same thing but i wright in english wich is the language were speaking" i said trying to explain to him and he looked confused. I sighed "technically im wrighting Sokka" i said and his confused expresion faded. "Thats not how you wright" said Sokka. "Yea it is its called English and were speaking it" i said. "English?" Said Sokka. "Yea English i already explained this do i have to do it again!" I said a little impatient. "Yea it would help" said Sokka. "Fine" i told Sokka. "What im wrighting is called english a type of common used language and wrighting all over the world where i come from, you all know how to speak it fluently though because were speaking it" I said. "So its like you know another type of secret wrighting" said Aang. "Yea sorta if we were in my world it wouldn't be secret but being here yea i guess you could put it like that but you're forgetting im mexican" i said. "Sooo......" Said Sokka. "Sooo it means i know two diffrent writings and one diffrent language from you" i said. "Im bilangual wich means i speak and write more than one language" I said. "This is great! We can learn to write a new language and send secret messages" said Sokka. "Hey thats actually pretty smart, im not that an expert in writeing spanish but im very fluent in the language" i said. "Ohhh i want to learn too!" Said Aang excidedly. "Okay" i said giggeling and saw Katara mad and giveing me dipiseful looks. I stared straight back and decided to say something " is there something wrong with you're eyes?" I asked and she got more angry. "Yess i have a problem!" She screamed. "Well then i suggest you find a doctor to help you" i said. "Ughhhh thats not what i ment!" Katara said and smiled and giggled a bit at her anger. "Then what seems to be the problem?" I asked all inoccent. "You know what you did! You betrayed us for that evil monster you love so much!" Katara said yelling at me and saw Aang and Sokka watch. " you know what think what you want but i would never try and hurt Aang, Sokka, or you but as you see i ain't got time for that im busy helping Sokka" and i turned away from her. Everything Sokka or Aang said i transelated it into spanish to help them learn it. "Okay letter "A" is a triangle with lines sticking out" i told him drawing it on his paper and i was able to teach Aang a few words words like the colors and some numbers and words like hi,food,meat. I saw Katara watching me "you know i hate when people stare, where i come its considered very rude!" I said at her. "I have to for Sokka and Aang's sake" she snarled back. "Look they sort trust me" i said looking at Sokka and Aang. "Yea sorta" she mumbled. "Why can't you trust me i've done everything i can to show you that im on you're side if i was evil i would have stayed with Zuko! You know i love him but i had to leave him in order to help you guys out , trust me you need it" i told her. "No we don't need you" she said angry. "Trust me you'll barely make it alive i know how every moment of you're lives play out until the end of the war" i said in a low voice. "We can't trust you thats final besides you're with zuko the Prince thats trying to kill us" she said looking at me. "Hey i tried to stop him but he always finds you and i don't know how but he does! And i never chose to be with him if this world wasn't full of destiny and spirits i wouldn't be with him!" I said angry. "But he belived me and respected everything i did and i did the same.....just wait a few months and you'll see the real him" i said in a calm voice. "He's confused the way he's been treated what do you expect for him to be nice and jolly after his own father made him suffer and banished him then he grew up half of his life without his mother never haveing a real friend and the only one there for him was his uncle" i said louder then everything was quiet. "Im sorry Katara i never ment to hurt anyone i never ment to be here and be in you're world i just want to know why im here and how to get home.......im so sorry" i told her hopeing she would forgive me. "I forgive you" she said smileing and hugged me. "Finally....can we get back to the letters i think i got the hang of this" said Sokka. "Sure, you wanna learn?" I asked Katara. I explained to katara the letters and she got the letter 'A' pretty quick. "Good it's a bit slopy but better then Sokka's"i said staring at him and we laughed a bit. "Okay i think we can work with 'B' now, see its a sraight line with a small circle than a bigger one at the bottom and the other one is just one straight line with one circle at the bottom" i said drawing it with the funny looking writeing utensil. "I can't belive you have 2 diffrent types of letters! How did you learn to write like this?" She asked. "I dont know i just did and this is only normal letters if you're good enough ill teach you cursive writeing" i said to her. "Wait there's more" Sokka said unbeliveing. "Yea but it's to advanced for some people i learened how to write all of it and spanish but i never took a class for spanish it came naturally like it was just there besides its only like 26 letters and they rhyme makeing them easy to put in a song" i said explaining to them. I put the letters 'A' and 'B' so Katara and Sokka could trace them i got out my chewed up pencil that i treasured and started to write on my paper. "Ughhhhh! I can't write straight across without the straight printed lines!" I said in frusturation. "What are you talking about? You don't need lines" said Katara. "Well we write straight across and have lines that are put on the paper to write neat and i guess scince you write up and down you don't need lines i thought id never miss paper so much or pencils and pens" i said looking at my chewed up pencil. "You write with that? Its so small" said Sokka takeing it out of my hand and examening it. "Well its not supposed to be small its an old pencil i had it sharpened to much and the erasers gone" i said and They all looked at me confused guess i had to explain about my pencil i felt so smart. "Okay the pencil is supposed to be this long" i said showeing the mesurement with my hands. "The pencil has a mineral call lead that makes a dark grey mark to write on white paper the lead is sort of like coal if you make it in a shape and put wood over it it becomes a pencil with no eraser. The eraser is a type of gummy form that is used to erase you're mark if you mess up and thats pretty much a pencil but i usually use a pen" i said explaining and i saw they were a bit confused but didnt ask. A few hours later we got near to a earth kingdom village. "They're it is!" Said Sokka excitedly. "Finally i hate not being able to move!" I said happy. We landed and saw a man with a long beard and a earth kingdom outfit wich i guessed was general Fong. I started to stretch when i got off then everyone got in a fighting stance. "What?" I said then saw my cloths. "Ohh this is a disguise i infiltrated the firenation for a mission and havent changed my cloths" i explained then everyone backed up and bowed like Master Paku and the waterbenders. I looked at everyone confused. "It is a great honor to be in the presence of the Spirit child" said General Fong. What was it with me and the spirit child thing? "Welcome Avatar Aang and Spirit child I am general Fong" and he bowed again. "And welcome all of you great heros Appa, Momo, brave Sokka, and mighty Katara" said general Fong so enthusiastic. "Mighty Katara i like that" Katara said then fireworks started going off. "Wow feels like fourth of July" i said and then everyone looked at me. "Not bad" said Sokka impresed. Then a soilder came towards me giveing me a silk green uniform and bowed. "Thank you" i said and he left. We walked with general Fong into his office were the walls were more than 20 feet tall. He had a green rug going all the way to his desk, the rug had the earth nation symbol. Then 5feet apart from the rug on both sides were cylinder poles going all the way to the top of the ceiling. We sat on the floor 15 feet away from his desk. Then general Fong started to speak "Avatar Aang we were all amazed of the stories of how you single handedly wiped out an entire Firenation fleet at the north pole, i cant imagine what it feels like to wheel such devestating power.....its an awsome responsibility" said General Fong. "I try not to think about it much" said Aang. "Also Spirit child im sure you have been with Aang to learn the four elements as well i hope you have a great journey and help Aang defeat the firelord" Said Fong to me. "Yess well ive already discovered my powers and im working on makeing more progress" i responded. "Avatar you're ready to face the firelord now" said Fong confidently to Aang. Aang turned his smile into a confused expresion "what no im not" said Aang makeing his confused face into a scared and worried expresion. "Aang needs to master all four elements" Said Katara. "Why with the kind of power he poses, power enough to destroy hundreds of battle ships in a matter of minutes he could defeat the firelord now" said General Fong. "But sir the thing is Aang can only do those things when hes in the avatar state" explained Sokka. "See its this thing specail state where-""im well aware......youre eyes and tatoos glow and you're anle to summon unbelivable power, with out you we'd be slaughtered befor we even reach there shores but with you leading the way as the alternate wepon we could cut the swath right through the heart of the Firenation" said General fong excidedly inturrupting Aang. "Right but I dont know how to get in or out of the avatar state, much less to do once im there" said Aang. "So its decide then, ill help you get into the avatar state and then face youre destiny" said General Fong. We all stood up "no nothings decided we already have a plan Aangs persuing his destiny his way" said Katara. "I agree with Katara theres a good reason Aang has to learn all 4 elemnts if he didnt then we would be fighting the firelord by now! Besides Aang being in the avatar state is very dangerouse for him its better we dont bother it" i said helping Katara. "Well while you take you're time learning the elements the war goes on.....may i show you something" said Fong leading to the window and we followed. "Thats the infirmiry and those soilders are the lucky onesthey came back everyday the firenation takes lives....people are dyeing Aang you could end it now think about it" said General Fong as he walked away.
