"Ji Heng?" Feng Jiu asked in a soft voice.
Song and Qingti exchanged confused glances while Ji Heng looked at Feng Jiu as if she was trying to understand something.
"Ji Heng, have you really forgotten everything?" Feng Jiu asked kneeling down in front of Ji Heng.
"What?" Ji Heng asked dazed.
"You have lost your memories right?" Jiu asked softly.
Ji Heng's eyes widened in suprise. "How do you know that?" Ji Heng shot to her feet cause both boys in the room to react but Feng Jiu again gestured for them to stay where they were. Jiu slowly stood to her full hight with Ji Heng standing 3 feet in front of her.
"Not even Ling Xiang knew about that! How could you know? Who are you?" Ji Heng demanded.
Feng Jiu let out a quiet sigh. How to explain this without messing up Doug Hua trial more than it already has been. Maybe I can use most of the truth just slightly modified to fit the mortal trial. I may even be able to use it to help Doug Hua finish.
"Did you know me in the past?" Ji Heng asked quietly when Feng Jiu didn't respond right away.
Again both boys in the room looked at one another but remained silent as they waited in curiosity and confusion.
"I know you are truly a kind hearted person when you choose to be. I don't think you sending the clothes to the National Treasury was simply an act. You may have also done it to gain praise but no doubt you wanted to help the flood victims correct?" Feng Jiu asked.
Ji Heng looked suprised for a moment before she thought about how she felt when she did that. "Yes." She stated meekly.
Feng Jiu nodded thoughtfully. "I will tell what. If you answer three of my questions honestly. I will tell you a story." She offered.
Ji Heng looked at her suspiciously but cautiously nodded. Feng Jiu gave a tight smile and held out her hand.
"I need to monitor your pulse to ensure you are not lying. " Jiu stated.
Ye Qingti's eyes shot up in interest at this unique knowledge while Xuanren Song smiled as if Feng Jiu was the smartest person in the world.
Ji Heng hesitated but gave Feng Jiu her wrist. "What do you want to know she asked as Feng Jiu placed her middle and pointer finger over her pulse.
"Why did you want to steal the Lingbi Stone?" Feng Jiu asked gaining the boys acute attention.
"It is my saviors wish. Of course I would try my best to fulfill it." Ji Heng stated bluntly.
"So you are also trying to repay a debt of kindness." Feng Jiu muttered earning a confused look from everyone in the room. She ignored them and continued.
"Who is your Savior?" Feng Jiu asked then frowned. "Your heart rate just sped up indicating you are thinking of lying." She added disapprovingly.
Ji Heng's eyes widened as she had not entirely believed that Jiu could tell if she was lying or not.
"And now it did a dramatic spike indicating being caught." Jiu added.
Ji Heng tried to pull back her wrist but Feng Jiu held it tight a gave her a stern look.
"I won't answer that." Ji Heng stated stubbornly.
Xuanren Song was about to say something but Feng Jiu spoke first. "Fine. Then can you tell me why your savior wants the Lingbi Stone?" She asked.
"He said it was a family heirloom that had been lost." Ji Heng said.
"That is ridiculous! Even you said you had heard it was a gift from the heavens!" Song finally cut in but was met with a stern look from Jiu.
