Author's Note: This chapter is going to simply skim through the last events in the mortal world. This is for 3 reasons. 1st I have admittely grown board with this section of my story and am ready to begin the next. 2nd I can make flash backs later on in the story without becoming redundant. And 3rdly if I try to detail out every part of this story I will likely never finish. I do hope you like the chapter though. Leave comments and let me know what you think.
Feng Jiu watched as Cheng Yu and Si Ming rode off with Ji Heng. She felt warm arms embrace her around the shoulders.
She let out a sigh of contentment, allowing a moment of indulgence before speaking.
"I know you have plans for me to see the physicians." Feng Jiu said.
"Yes I do. We should start heading that way now." Xuanren Song said.
Feng Jiu nodded and turned to Zhe Yan and Bai Zhen who were watching the 2 of them.
"Will you be joining us?" Feng Jiu asked her uncles. Both nodded.
"This way." Xuanren Song said leading them to his office were the physician who treated Feng Jiu before, along with another 2 were waiting.
As they entered the room Zhe Yan briefly grabbed Feng Jiu's wrist and gave it a light squeeze, sending some of his magic into her before dropping her wrist. It was so quick, only Zhe Yan and Feng Jiu were aware of the encounter.
Feng Jiu sat down and the Imperial Physician came over looking at Feng Jiu for permission. She nodded and handed him her wrist.
The Physician closed his eyes as he checked her pulse. A deep frown set into his features.
"Well?" Xuanren Song asked.
"Your Majesty, the last time I had checked Madam Jiu's pulse it was normal with no obstructions to explain her fainting spell. However this time I can detect a faint but noticeable irregularity in her heart beat." He explained.
Song nodded over to the other Physicians to check as well. They all concluded the same thing.
"Ok so what does this mean?" Xuanren Song asked.
"Before you all try making guesses as an irregular heart beat could mean mean multiple things would you all like a little back story to her condition." Zhe Yan asked.
The 3 physicians looked at one another and all nodded in agreement. "That would be helpful as her condition is not prominent enough to guarantee an exact diagnosis." The Imperial Physician said.
Zhe Yan smiled and pulled out a box full of pills. "It is not prominent because of these." He said handing the box over for them to examine.
"You see a few years back Xiao Jiu, had been severely injured. She sustained large gashes to her right side, eternal bleeding from blunt force, and was half drowned." Zhe Yan explained.
Xuanren Song and all 3 physicians looked at her in shock. Feng Jiu blushed and looked away. She knew Zhe Yan was twisting the event with the snow lion to fit the circumstances.
"Xiao Jiu, if I may?" Zhe Yan asked gesturing to her torso.
Feng Jiu nodded and untied her outer robes while Zhe Yan carefully adjusted them to reveal ONLY her stomach area. Feng Jiu felt Zhe Yan's magic tingle on her skin as he did so.
Xuanren Song felt a wave of jealousy hit him as Zhe Yan (although professionally and respectfully) got to partly undress Feng Jiu. But that dissappear almost immediately as the scars on her mid section came to view.
Feng Jiu had to fight not to express her own shock. Zhe Yan's illusion was very realistic looking.
3 indentations marred her right side just below her chest. The white lines in the center of the intentions are faded yet still prominent. Simply put the scars looked terrifying.
