3rd pov:

Dream and nightmare bond grow closer by the day dream had already claimed the older brother role as he woke up first and not to mention dream protectiveness of his brother he saw his brother as fragile as well as a flower and he would sometimes squeak about how cute the other was at times however with nightmare he was mature enough but still refusing to talk much just simple word like no or calling dream name but never a complete sentence he was grateful that somehow dream always knew what the other want to say or do he always felt curious but he never mentioned it to much talking to do also he admitted he grow attached to dream if he was honest he was worried by the idea of having siblings as he saw them as well let's say he saw max fighting with his siblings not to mention the amount of videos on YouTube and TikTok about siblings fight or backstabbing and him being an only child never understand but now yes he was forced to accept dream as his older twin but did it bother him ? Nah actually he did like dream but there is still a times that he couldn't stand him well stand his protectiveness like that one time he tip over something while playing tag with dream making him land face fist to the ground it was a grassy ground so it didn't hurt too much but dream protectiveness got activated as he rushed to him as hold his face to make sure he is fine it took at least
15 min so dream make sure he is fine
They also would cuddle to keep each other warm in winter mostly dream using his magic to heat up them since night has no idea how to use magic so he kept sneaking warmness from his older twin not that the other mind but when it stormy dream would be the one sneaking comfort from his twin as he is very afraid of thunder
And when the weather is hot they would go to the nearby river they would play in the water or just take simple baths
They really didn't need to eat or sleep something nightmare noticed but he was still eating for the taste and dream insistence

But He can't complain tho it is nice to have someone to care about you he was happy to have dream but can his happiness stay? FATE has other plans for him

After the two fourth birthday by a week or tho

Nightmare felt strange as if someone was watching them he kept looking at the forest that was near by dream noticed that and asked nightmare about what he is staring at he got no reply but his mind was trying to guess the possibilities of what was bothering his other half until he felt it to "you can felt that too like we are being watched?" He asked and night just nodded dream then stayed next to his twin also staring at the forest until he noticed people coming their way from the forest so the suspension was right they were being watched dream took a quick look at his brother the saw how uncomfortable the other was with people coming Their way he got up quickly as they were close enough for him yes they were still climbing the grassy hill but still  nightmare got up too and hide behind his brother as his anxiety sparkled inside of him the people stopped at a good distance "show your purpose of coming to our land" dream said keeping his head high while talking showing he is not afraid of them  one of them stepped forward to dream who he assumed is the leader or the chief "we are just a simple traveller that were looking for a sustainable place to stay in " he said to dream
Dream believe what he was told and just said they can make their village in the clear area below the hill near the river but with conditions, the first condition is no one is allowed near the hill since the tree apples are forbidden for mortals
And the other condition was for nightmare to accept their stay
Ofc nightmare panicked he was afraid of them yet if he refused he would be hated by them "so what do you say brother are you approving of them staying?" He just nodded slightly that was all dream needed "he agrees " dream said with a polite smile but within him he wished his brother refused so he could kick them away but meh he can beat them anytime anyway if they ever dare do something and it was stilled they build a village the twins can see it from the hill tho the hill wasn't small actually it was very high  but easy to climb ever since the villagers came and the twins rarely go away from the tree at least one of them stay like nightmare he usually stays while dream gather fruits from the forest the villagers took a month to finish making their homes much to dream annoyance when they approach him and his brother asking questions like who is the positive guardian and so on dream saw no point in lying or not answering so he give them the answers they wanted so they leave him and his brother be since he realized how uncomfortable nightmare gets when the come to talk once he was invited to visit the village he didn't want to leave his brother but with their insistence he went and visited it he was greeted with gift and welcoming aura their nice behaviour made him warm up to them slowly but he did he would play with the kids and help the elder people he liked that
But he rarely had time for nightmare now but he still tried to avoid the villagers and hang out with his brother instead he realized something was wrong with his twin lately as he became quieter
As a year passed by
the two became five
nightmare became quiet to the point dream didn't hear him say a word for more than three months not to mention his body flinch from simple touches and also became jumpy all of the sudden dream suspected that the villagers did something to his brother but he couldn't tell what or why they were so nice to him have they really did something to his little twin he was planning what he should do to cheer his other half up so he decided to get strawberries as they were nightmare favorite so he left nightmare again all by himself while he went to get fresh strawberries from the forest when he came back he found he brother hugging he knees and asleep so he left the strawberries aside for now and sit next to his twin putting a hand on his shoulder and pull him closer
Dream started spending more time with his brother not leaving a room for the villagers to even drag him with them to do whatever he hated how his other half didn't even say a word god it's almost their sixth birthday in a few months and he couldn't make progress with nightmare quietness
He doesn't want to force him to talk he just wants to hear his soft voice again even if a simple word as no like he was used to
Dream was having enough of nightmare strange acts he was going to connect their minds to see nightmare memories something he didn't want to do to his brother cause he respect his privacy but still it was going too far and he is afraid of losing his only family
Rather than nightmare quietness and the villagers breathing on his neck he met someone named ink he is the creator and protector of the aus he offered dream to join his team which is the star sanses dream refused saying he have to stay to protect his brother ink however didn't take no as an answer instead he gave dream a glass bottle filled with black paint he told him to summon him if he changed his mind dream took it anyway the two seemed fond of each other as they chatted, however, it was time for ink to go

He waited until it ink left he noticed that he stayed away from nightmare for long feeling guilty that he must made the other worried he started heading back to the tree but he was met by the most horrifying thing to happen to him he found nightmare laying on the ground in a pond of his own purple colored blood he rushed to hold him immediately started healing his wounds from his bleeding
Skull which is full of cracks to his broken arms and legs "oh stars" he said the damage itself looked like someone smashed him with a hammer he was done with the bleeding parts or that's what he thought until he checked his brother chest if the other things he already healed weren't enough to make his blood boil with rage this sure did and made it even ten times worst his brother ribcage latterly didn't have a single rid that wasn't damaged not to mention the two messing rids and the ones that are too broken to the point they will fall of with any kind of touch "H.O.W . D.A.R.E " dream said he was so going to torment them but at the moment he kept healing his brother ribcage the best he could he might actually take ink offer and join him if it will keep his little other half safe

By the time dream finish healing what he could from his brother wounds he was magically exhausted he looked at the tree "they are here for the apples aren't they so why not" he said to himself as he got up and climb the tree he had infinite inventory space something about him and his brother being magic spirits or something he took every single golden Apple from his side and put them in the safety of his inventory he tried to reach to nightmare apples but he noticed that the closer his hand to the apple it change its colour from purplish black to gold he didn't touch it however and kept his hand away he will help nightmare gather them later so he jumped down from the 11 foot tall tree landing successfully on his legs he looked at his unconscious brother his body was limp but it was mostly healed dream needed to regain the amount of magic he lost today so he just cuddle his twin in a protective way and let himself fall a sleep 'tomorrow is going to be filled with events' being the last thought he had for the day before drifting to sleep

Ya I like the story and for what happened to nightmare or why I didn't focus on him is that I won't tell ya what been through his mind now but in the future chapters
