Recap: "Just stay here, I'll explain it later." She commanded again. "Okay?" I said in a confused tone.
Deena grabs Josh, and Simon and runs. Deena and josh and Simon run through the gloomy woods. They ducked behind four trees. Deena sent me a hand signal to run over by the trees, I went and sat next to Simon.
"What the hell?!" Josh exclaimed. Deena shushed him.
"It's him." Deena had said with a shaky voice
"Josh? Your sister is very confused." Nick Goode called out.
"His dad, his grandfather, and his great-grandfather." Deena whispered to us.
"What?" Josh asked.
"She clearly suffered some kind of a... a breakdown. She needs help! Josh?" Nick called out
"Goode is evil!" Deena explained.
Nick turned to a branch snap in the gloomy woods. He moves slowly ahead, keeping his eyes fixed on the pair of trees. He spots two sneaker tips peeking out from behind a trunk. He darted forward. His flashlight shines on an empty pair of sneakers. Deena, Josh, Simon and I ran and got into his cruiser. Deena and Josh in the front, Simon and I in the back.
"I was back in time. I was Sarah Fier, and Sarah Fier was innocent. She isn't turning people in Shadyside into killers, she wasn't a witch!" Deena explained
"Where in the 1666 hell are you getting this information?" Simon asked. I hit Simon on the chest, making him shut up.
[on radio] "we have a 5150 in possession of car 961. Suspects are on their way." The woman on the radio said.
"Guys listen to me! Solomon Goode—" Deena said while getting cut off by Josh
"Who?" Josh said, cutting off Deena.
"Nick Goode's pilgrim ancestor, he made a deal with the devil and then he framed Sarah to cover his own puritan ass." Deena explained while wiping her nose.
"Deena!" Josh shouted at Deena warning her about the light. Deena tan a red light.
"The Goodes, they're trading us, people from Shadyside. Goode gives a name to the devil. The devil takes over that person, then that person kills and murders. And the devil feeds on this blood of dead Shadysiders. And Goode gets whatever he wants. He becomes sheriff. His brother becomes mayor. All of Sunnyvale gets better and better." Deena said with a shaky voice.
"And shadyside doesn't." Josh finished.
"And the Goodes do it over and over, again and again. One Goode from every generation passing down the evil. Solomon. Solomon's son. First born to firstborn. Right to today. Right to sheriff nogk Goode." Deena explained
So, so Sarah Fier—" Josh said while getting cut off by Deena.
"He framed her! She's the only one who's ever figured out the truth... until us." Deena said
"And the killers came after us to keep us from uncovering it." Josh understood
"Yes, to protect Goode's deal with the devil." Deena said
