May 14th, 1994 Hello, my name is Samantha Bell, I am an engine driver on the North Western Railway. The engine I drive is called Percy, he's the NWR's Number 6 and is painted green. He's a kind engine, he's cheeky sometimes but he gets his work done. I work alongside Percy's fireman, Joel Martin, he's a nice guy, and someone I would consider a good friend. The Island of Sodor is an amazing place, however recently, some engines and people have strangely turned against the railway, saying things like "this railway is going to fail". I got this journal a couple of months ago from my aunt who lives in another country, and I've decided that I will write about everything that's going on here. I'll update you if anything interesting happens.
