I woke up with a smile upon my face. Today is Y/n's birthday, I'm so happy because I know that the present I prepared will be loved by him. I stood up, dressing for school as I ate breakfast and brushed my teeth.
"Why so happy today?" Mirio asked to me. "Y/n's birthday" I answered simply. Nejire jumped behind me, landing her hands on my shoulders:"You two are an amazing couples, sometimes I'm about jealous of you, Y/n seems the perfect boyfriend" "He is" I said smiling.
We went to the building and our mornings went on normally, and as usual, an hour before lunch, I took my phone and I opened it and saw that there was already a message:

There is something wrong with him, I can feel it but I don't know what. I scrolled my shoulders sighing and going back to focus on the class. We were doing a sorta of new subject called Civic Education. It learns us how to be good civilians, because before being part of heroes we're part of population. And how miss Midnight was saying it's sad to know that some people seem to don't care about living well with others.
Today's lesson is about lgbtq+ children in homophobic families, it's actually sad to also know that people are still not inclusive at all with neither their own children. If you didn't want to love them, don't have them, and if it happens by accident give them in adopt so they can live a good life. Nejire stated my thoughts to Midnight and she answered like this:"It's not like that at all, homophobic families in most of the case nowadays are those families with drugs and, or, alcohol problems and religious".
I nodded immediate understanding. If you're religious, it's quite normal to be homophobic, even tho I thought that God taught you how to love the others not how to judge them... And well... The ones with drugs and alcohol it's quite normal that they have issues.
When I told my parents about Y/n they were really happy and proud, especially my mom. She always wanted me to find myself and I said that I identified as a cisgender male, pansexual. For my dad it took sometimes, but he accepted me. It's also useless to talk about Mirio and Nejire, they always supported me, in every possible way.
The bell ringed and I stood up fastly taking the present in my hands and going to the canteen. As I arrived I looked around the area, searching for him. As I saw him I walked to him and sat down to the chair at his right at the table.
"Hi love" he said. "Hi" I replied smiling and giving him a little peck on his lips. "Happy birthday" I said showing him the square pack, wrapped in colored paper, with a golden ribbon on top of it.
