It was quick, after the barrier dropped, Jacob and I got in the car and drove off. Kaleb insisted on staying with Kol. I was against just leaving Kol and Kaleb but there was a plan and even though that worried me, especially with what Finn has already done to him. But it also gave me comfort knowing they were looking out for each other.
Elijah and Klaus were still the Chambre de chasse but they were coming out of it when we left. I went to Hayley to pick up our baby nephew to leave with Elijah. Just because we were leaving doesn't mean I wasn't going to hold my promise.
Heading to Arkansas, I told Jacob to wait in the car while Kaleb and I went to get the kids. Jacob had Nate and was putting him in his car seat while I got my twins. Kyle and Danny were in the car waiting since I just wanted to go in get my kids and leave, just as Kol said. Elijah was hesitant but this was the plan.
"Is it true?" Elijah asked. "About the dagger?"
"I can't give it to you, Elijah," I told him handing Cora over to my brother who stepped out of the car.
"I understand you're loyalty to Kol--"
"I can't give it to you because I don't have it," I cut him off. "I don't have the dagger, kol gave it to someone else. I shouldn't have told you that, but it's true. Kol knew if he had it on him he'd use it without thinking he needed someone to keep him being what the cycle is in this family."
"So you're running."
"Finn and Klaus have tried to kill me today," I told him. "Finn hexed my best friend, my brother's a vampire because our birth mother wanted revenge on your mother. And I'm not running." Elijah looked at me. "We're going to Mystic Falls to stay with my dad. We'll be back before the wedding and hopefully, by then Finn will be dealt with and Rebekah found and Klaus won't want to kill my husband."
Elijah then looked at the car. "I never imagined Henrik to do such a thing."
"He misses his brothers," I said placing a hand on his arm. "Talk to him, Elijah. You all need to, he's confused about a time he doesn't know. He's hurt because his family is broken and Claudia used him. He needs and wants his family."
Elijah nodded. I said my goodbyes to Cami, my nephew, and Hope.
"I'll see you soon, little one," I whispered to Hope then kiss the top of her head. "Promise me, you'll be good to Cami. She's a lovely woman and your father cares about her."
Hope smiled and dropped her head on my shoulder. I hugged her once more before handing her to Cami and then going to the car.

Arriving at Mystic Falls, wasn't a blissful ride because we didn't stop. Parking outside of the Sheriff's house was something we needed to do first. Danny and Kyle jumped off as they began to stretch and Danny was bouncing on her feet about how happy she was happy to be out of the car and outstretching her legs.
I looked at my brother who was looking around skeptically while taking out the double-seat stroller.
"Jake," I said carrying Nate in my arms. "You okay?"
