I drove to the event Dom and Letty created a few years ago, once i got to the gate I told the guard that i was here with another few from a group. There was this younger blonde male, i could tell through my rear view mirror, i went and parked, and I sat on my car watching this blonde walking into our trailer, I still stayed put.
The new guy pulled into the closest parking spot there was to my car and he got out, he started his walk to the trailer after Jesse opened the trailer door, they both looked in my way i looked away, as I watched the trailer door open I noticed Mia walking towards me, glaring at me with an annoyed look.
Mia then began to walk over, i pulled down my window to meet her gaze, "Ruby, W-why you still in here?"
I looked back at her, "The blonde scares me, if you don't remember I previously had a horrible experience with men"
Mia, shifted slightly, "I'm sorry, But i have to say, he will not beat you senselessly, I dated him previously, but yet we never had sex, I have a feeling he would be soft, taking your virginity"
"Should I talk to him?" I ask, softly
"Maybe get to know a little, I can get him" Mia said
Without another reply, She was gone.
This kid was outside the trailer as Mia had pointed in my direction and I slid down below, out of view
"Ruby right?" He asked
"Yeah" I murmur, as he walked to the other side of the car and got in
"I'm sorry, I heard from Mia that you felt scared, I get that often but once you get to know me, I'm one of the nicest people you would meet" Brian said
"It's just- that I had a horrible past, with men specifically" I murmur
"You want to talk about it?" He asked, softly
"Not really..." I mumble
He nodded and looked out the front of the car.
"I forgot to say this but, I'm Brian" he introduced himself
"Nice to- uh- meet you" I stammered,
He put a hand on my face pulling back my hair, I sat there holding onto my seat,
"Hey, you okay?" Brian asked
"I'm fine.."
Brian moved away, he could feel you tense up, he backed off and looked out the front, it was dark and the only light source that was outside was either the fires or the people who stayed in trailers, which was a rare amount
"You feel any more comfortable?" He asked, looking at me concerned
"Can you go back into the trailer, I really need to talk to Mia" I asked
He looked away, soon getting out of the car, I looked down, sighing.
I looked up once I heard the door open and the car slightly move once someone got in,
It wasn't Mia, It was Dom.
"Ruby, you should come in, you need some sleep, Mia's worried"
"I don't want to sleep with the buster, or specifically having him in there" I respond
"Your gonna have to get over this soon, Brian's one of the nicest people I've met, I've never seen him hurt anyone ever, I don't think he hit Mia ever while they dated" Dom started
"Yeah but-"
"No buts, now come on inside, it 11:00" He replied
He got out the car and I grabbed a few things and followed him, looking down to the bed nobody was on it, Brian was sitting on the couch and Dom went and sat with him and started a conversation.
I went and got into the bed, and relaxed, once I got comfortable I heard snoring from the other side of the bed, I didn't know who snores in the crew cause I'm always downstairs sleeping before anyone else is, I looked over in shock, It was Brian.
"Goddamnit!" I cursed under my breath.
"Hey, Brian, Wake up!" I say softly, shaking him.
He was one heavy sleeper, that was a given, I still shook him, poking him and yet he still didn't wake up.
I looked around, Dom and Letty were asleep at the front in the foldable table, Mia was on a sleeping bag on the floor. Nobody was awake, I was the only one awake.
I felt the bed shuffle and someone tap my shoulders which I yelled and somehow that didn't wake anyone up.
"No need to scream, It's all good" Brian reassured, as I shook in place, I haven't slept with any male ever since I left my abusive ex.
"I-I'm sorry, it's just- I'm not comfortable with you, it'll take me a while, can I just ask Mia to switch with you?" I asked.
He looked down to the floor and back at me, "Do you really wanna wake her up from her deep sleep?"
"I will if I have to!" I say
I got off the bed and walked to Mia, kneeling beside her, I slowly shook her till her eyes opened.
"Do you mind if you switch with Brian? I don't feel okay sleeping there with him.." I whisper
"Okay"
She got up and Brian left the bed we were in, I got back into bed somewhat sitting up and she got into bed laying down
It wasn't a normal switch but I wasn't feeling 100% great laying next to Brian, but I also felt more comfortable knowing I wasn't laying with some guy I barely know,
As the night went on I had a few issues getting to sleep, it was probably around 1:30 when I got
to sleep,
It kinda became a ritual where I'd try to sleep with the blonde but I'd either switch with someone, attempt to sleep in my car or just drive home, but each night the event went on he'd always be sleeping in my bed then I'd try to get comfortable and sleep while i know he's there but i sometimes regret it,
He probably has a crush on me, look I'm some girls dream girl even though i look similar to my sister Letty, what do you expect I'm an Ortiz sister,
