There's a serious problem everyone faces. Some big snow small, and some of them take lives. But for me there's just one and i won't let anyone figure it out. My true name will remain unknown.
I walk through the halls of the prestigious building i once grew in. I look st the paintings and small trinkets placed on the small shelves hung. I fluff up my dress as i prepare myself. Tonight is the night my best friend finds her husband. Essie and I were raised together. Her coming from a royal family and my parents just bring your normal stable family. Our families have been close since Essie and I were born, not sure of the backstory since it kept changing but i've always been grateful to have Essie.
"There you are! thank god. PLEASE HELP ME DIYA!" Essie drags me to her. I smile big at her while i help her look through the long list of potential husbands.
A lot of these guys sounded quite promising! i can see why she's having a hard time. A lot of them are her type... rich... makes dad happy... has money.... nice slutty waist ...
"They're all gonna be here soon what should i do?" She asks me as she looks back and forth between to pages.
i grab the papers and turn them so i can read them out loud.

"Okay cmon don't make that face.' Essie whines at me as i make the most disgusted face
"He's a gemini... absolutely not.." I say stern throwing the page to the side while Essie races to grab it.
"We cant judge them yet. We still dont know what they look like." I say handing her the pages back.
She nods as she sets the papers to the side and stares at herself in the mirror.
"I know I still get a choice but sometimes I wish I wasnt a princess so I could go out and find true love... rather then the next candidate for King.." she says as she turns to look at me.
"Princess or not I believe you'll meet your soulmate tonight! Who knows maybe its Song Mingi" I smirk at her as she rapidly shakes her head
"Anyone but him.." She states
"So you dont mind if i go for him..?" I say teasingly...... kinda
"Since when are you interested in romance?" Essie wears an exciting expression
"I'm not but if Mr. Song Mingi is as good as he sounds I wouldn't mind pretending for a couple hours" I say wiggling my brows as Essie just laughs at me.
"Ladies the guest will be making their appearances soon" A friendly knock brings us back to he real world.
"Are you ready?" I ask Essie as she takes one last look at her reflection. She grabs my hand and we make our way out of her room and down to the Music Hall.
Essie didnt live in a Castle... well at least they refused to call it a castle but for us normal working folk ITS A CASTLE! The music hall was right next to the large hallway where the gates were to allow guests in and out. Essie stood tall next to her father as the gates began to open. I stood next to her looking at each stranger and remembering their features. In a normal event like this we wouldn't greet the guests like this but since its more of a blind date theyre more relaxed.
Guest by guest walked passed as we smiled at all of them.
Soon enough we were allowed to join the rest of them in the ballroom, I followed Essie the whole way making sure I could see all directions of her. I forgot to mention, im some what like a Knight. My job is to watch over the princess during events like this. So for the majority of the night you'll see me awkwardly at her side. Of course the public isn't allowed to know my identity as her guard.
My one and only secret will stay hidden. No matter who dies.
Essie walks around for a bit but decides to stad at the staircase and observe as couples sway to the music. I watch carefully as i feel a very tense energy lurking.
"Attention Lords and Ladies, Please allow our Lords to introduce themselves." A short man with a Micropone speaks.
My gaze sharpens as I watch all four suitors.
"Good Day Princess Eslan, my name is Jeong Yunho. Its a pleasure to finally meet you." He bows to Essie and quickly stands back up flashing her a grin.
"He's kind, but thinks too highly of himself... I feel like it's more of a superficial relationship for him than him actually wanting you." I whisper to her as she nods.
The next man walks up flashing his best smile. He wore his confidence on his shoulders as he bows "Princess Eslan, what a privilege it is to meet you! I hope you save me one dance tonight. My name is Jung Wooyoung!" He walks over to meet Yunho.
"No." is all i say for essie to break out into a laughing fit.
I look over to see wooyoung smiling big at the reaction he received. I glare at him. Which brings him back to his polite stance.
"Hello Princess Eslan, and her court. I'm very new to events like this so im really looking forward to learning from you. My name is Kang Yeosang. Thank you." Yeosang says almost like a robot.. But a cute robot.
"Hes cute. I like him" I smile as Essie has a blank stare.
"Oh im last? Well okay.." A tall man steps up arrogance oozes off of him. "Hello Eslan, my name is Song Mingi and im here to win your heart, along with your money." He smiles at her as he joins the others.
Before i could say no Essie immediately started drooling over this cocky douche.
"Essie..." i sigh
"Shhhh" she shushes me as i basically see Mingi eye raping her.
Tonight is going to be keeping me on my toes.. That's for sure
