A nice breeze fills the air.
How beautiful the night sky looks...the constellations, the shooting stars, the shining moon...it's truly a gift to have here on Earth, huh?
And the sandy beach I'm sitting on, the glistening water as they splash together and above the sand...
Most people are already asleep at the moment. It was nighttime, anyways. Frisk and Asriel, Mom and Dad...they're all sleeping on their beds right now, while I'm here at the beach. If they were here, our time would be more cheerful than now.
But right now, I need a bit of peace...a bit of silence, a bit of alone time...
. . .
I hear footsteps on the distance...
Who could be awake at this time around here besides myself?
I looked behind myself, still sitting down on the sandy ground, only to spot someone I haven't met before. A skeleton monster, I assumed, maybe Sans or Papyrus. That skeleton's height looked like Sans' height description, so I figured that it was him. He looked like he was merely wandering around the place, but his gaze looked like he was close to gazing at me, so I decided to approach him to introduce myself and ask him some questions.
"oh, hey, kiddo," he said to me when I was close enough. "didn't think someone's gonna be 'round here at this time around. what's up?"
"Hey, um..." I began. "You're Sans, right?"
"yeah. what about it?" He asked.
"Oh, nothing important, I was just confirming. I heard about you and your brother from Frisk and Asriel. You and your brother sounded like a great duo to meet." I replied with a small smile on my face.
"oh, so you're the human frisk talked about, ey? a human named 'avil' was confirmed adopted by tori and the fam, and i heard that it was frisk's idea to adopt ya in the first place. is that right?"
"Yeah, I guess they explained it to you already, heh..."
"well it's nice to meet ya, 'anvil'," he joked around, offering his hand to me.
"It's 'Avil'..." I corrected him before attempting to shake his hand, when suddenly, fart noises appeared out of nowhere.
"...wow..." I sighed from the fact I've been trolled and released my grip from his hand.
"heheh, the good ol' whoopee cushion in the hand trick," he spoke, laughing (a bit) with a wide grin on his face. "it's always funny to those with good humor. you already know 'bout me, and myself to you, so i guess we don't need an introduction at the moment, huh?"
"I guess, heh..." I said back in reply, before gazing at the stars above the two of us. It then went silent for a few seconds, before I completely broke it with a question to Sans. "So, what brings you here at this time around? If you're gonna ask me first, I just want some alone time for awhile, star-gazing and getting fresh air, y'know?"
"heh, i'm here for the same reasons, pal," he responded, not facing to me and rather the vast horizon above the ocean. The bright moon's reflection was seen on top of the water, looking like the ocean became a mirror of the sky. Some stars were visibly reflected as well, not leaving the moon to be reflected alone. Some non-living things still need at least a friend, right?
"Oh, really? Well, then..." As I said the sentence, I approached near the ocean and sat near it, almost letting the water to touch my body as it flows. Sans decided to sat next to me, before laying down onto the sandy ground and chill with the laying position.
