So large and empty...
Those were the first thoughts I came up with when I first saw the wide space surrounding the three of us. For the two, it may have been normal. For me, it's something I've never seen in my entire life. It's so large, so empty, so spacious...I haven't seen this kind of area before. I'm pretty sure this place isn't even in our own universe in the first place!
However, the more important situation in mind is the reason why this Papyrus we're with came into our universe to find Sans. I volunteered to come with them, even though it's deathly risky, but if it didn't sound so weird, risk-taker would've been my middle name. But anyways...
From where we were, we saw little dots moving around from one place to another quickly at the distance, looking like little ants in an ant war. Well, except they can jump really high. But from where we were standing, it was just a centimetre off the ground. I was about to ask something to lazy-Papyrus when he spoke first.
"stay here for awhile," he said, facing to me. "i don't want a human to die just yet." He then faced to Sans, saying, "classic, you go stay here for awhile, too. one of them might spot her and she's too defenceless that she'll get killed very easily."
"i would fall into a void of boredom if i stay here for too long, so this has to be quick," Sans said back in reply, sounding like he was trying to make a void-related joke in a way. Lazy-Papyrus then ran straight to where the others were fighting, leaving the both of us behind. The portal have already disappeared behind us. There was a short time of silence between us, since we didn't know what else to mention, but after a few seconds of silence, I thought of an idea and decided to ask Sans about it. Oh, and if you're wondering why it's 'silent' even though there's a fight at a distance from where we were, it's quite far and there's only really faint sound effects
"So...since there's possibly a whole bunch of yous and Papyruses...and that you all may have met each other quite a few times or a lot more already...what names do you give yourselves to represent, well, yourself?" I asked him, breaking the silence between us. "I'm sure that despite the variety of AUs around this multiverse here, each Sans is still 'Sans', just...maybe with a different personality or something."
"...heh, you really know things, huh?" He said back in reply, not as a reply to my question.
"What? It's like the fandoms in video game franchises, with all those AUs different from the canon," I said as comment to what he said. "I suspect that it's the same when it comes to our worlds. I did thought of Alternate Universes existing, but those thoughts were my mere kid-thoughts, and besides, I didn't actually think they exist in real life once I thought about it long enough..."
"welp, here's proof that they do exist," he said, looking at the distance...specifically at the direction where the fight's in place. "oh, and that question you asked before...the other of the sanses mostly refer to me as 'classic', since the universe where i - or we - live in is the original out of all of the universes combined. for the paps we met...we usually call him 'carrot', which i'm not sure about, but...meh, i just went on with it."
"'Classic'...'Carrot'...can I call the both of ya with those names?" I then asked him.
"sure, pal. i don't mind," he replied, now looking back at me again. His grin was still there, but now, it doesn't feel like he's actually...'happy'. He then looked back at the direction where the fight can be seen at, now looking like he was thinking a lot more than he should've. "huh...wonder how long the fight over there was 'til now..."
"Another question in mind is when it'll finish...I'm tired of doing nothing solely because I'm a human weakling," I added as I lay down onto the 'void-ground' beside Sans, or 'Classic. He then decided to sit down beside me.
