Come forth to this light

'tis the coldest night

don't shy if you are a ghost or a wandering soul lost in the coldness,

I'll gladly embrace your closeness.

The nights of Silah brings out the beauty and the horror of nature's harsh reality. The moon will always be there to guide the path towards my room. I have not used the flashlight on my phone ever to walk places at night. The clouds always have a compromised way of letting the light reach the earth. When it's too dark to see, the stars shines brighter. The magic of the universe with this naked eyesight teaches me the severity of the vast emptiness that could trump all the judgements of neglecting the existence of a creator. It can be enthralling the sky is much colossal to avoid the possibility of the phrase 'the sky is the limit'.

When the morning tea rushes into your stomach, it would much helpful to image that I am home on my balcony glaring at the landscape of green mountains and listening to the irritating crows.

I remember the day I heard there is an opportunity to go abroad to the United Arab Emirates to find a suitable job to provide for my family. But, as there are no more grass to feel greener on this side, I don't imagine what my life could be if I had stayed in Kerala. The camera had already started rolling. I just need to get my act right. As I arrived at Abu Dhabi airport, every technology I saw interested me a bit more than the flight travel here. I watched as the taxis and VIP cars pass by. The luxury of sacrifice, deceit or maybe success. I hoped one day I could be the one in the Cadillac or the Cruiser, sitting in the back watching the poor through the tinted windows arrive at a very strange land searching hope. She is a little hard to find.

We (my uncle and I) drove through the city and ate welcoming food from one of the Indian restaurants while the Sun, without hesitation glared at everything he could hide a shadow behind. And the shadows are the true friends of everyone here.

The crazy stories which I am about to tell you on the next coming chapters will bring a certain distress as I write them. So, as calmly as I could, I will tell you the mind numbing incidents to you readers, as you are kind of therapists.

When we drove out of the city, I hoped the location I will end up in a peaceful place without the carbon-monoxide immensity and the heatwaves are crazier in such places. But? Everywhere I looked I saw nothing but a massive sea of sand. Mirages felt like real life tsunamis. Each 2 or 3 kms past, few herds of cattle farms. Few caravans of camels wandering on the sands. The air-condition in the car is not matching against the humidity the Sun caused to creep inside. Sweat dripped from my neck under the polyester shirt I underestimated to cope with the climate. It is too late to turn back now. I had my slate clean for this part of my life. Whatever the circumstances are, I must be willing to sacrifice a little bit for something to flourish out of this experience. Once that is past, it should be routine from then on. What could go wrong?
