After waking up and getting ready for work, I help the twins (Luis and Luisa) get ready for school. Once they're done I let them go play, I go to the kitchen to kiss my mom goodbye before I leave for work. I work for Mr. Turner (Jamal's dad) at his BBQ joint, I'm usually scheduled to clock in later in the day, but this week I'm on kitchen duty, so I have to clean the kitchen as well as prep the meats for the day before the place opens. The drive to work was fast and peaceful, I park my car by the entrance and get out, making sure I lock the car before I enter the restaurant. Once inside, I see Mr.Turner taking down chairs and wiping tables, I smile and wave to him as I walk into the kitchen; I clock in and get started on cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen as well as it's appliances and cooking utensils.
After about an hour i finish cleaning and sanitizing everything. I walk from the kitchen to Mr. Turner's office to let him know I finished prepping the kitchen. "Hey Mr. Turner, the kitchen is clean and sanitized, do you want me to get started on seasoning the meats?" He looks up from the paperwork he's doing and replies "Yes, thank you. I moved the recipe book to the spice cabinet, just grab it and start on the pork meat for me please?" I nod and head to the spice cabinet, I grab the recipe book and the spices we put on all the pork.
~Time skip (the afternoon)~
3 Person Pov
It's now the afternoon, Destany clocks out and says goodbye to her coworkers as well as Mr. Turner. Once she's clocked out and has all her stuff, she leaves the restaurant to go to her car, Destany gets in and drives to Luis and Luisa's school. She has 10 minutes to get there for dismissal, once she's there she gets in the pick up line. As she waits, Destany takes her work shirt off, revealing the tank top she's wearing underneath. Soon its time for the twins' class to come out, she slowly drives up to where they are, the back door to her car is opened and the twins pile in. Once they're in their booster seats and buckled in the door is closed, Destany then drives off towards their house. On the drive back, the twins rambled on and on about their day and what they had for lunch.
The three of them soon make it home, Destany parks the car and gets out, she opens one of the back doors to help the twins unbuckle themselves. Once released they both run out of the car and to the front door, The elder of the three grabs their stuff and making sure to lock her car before following them to the front door.Destany unlocks the doo for them, the twins run inside and go straight to their room, Destany sets their bookbags on the couch before going to the bathroom. She goes in and showers, washing away the smell of meat and sweat. She soon finishes her shower and wraps herself in her black robe before quickly making her way to her room where she dries off and gets dressed in comfortable but weather appropriate clothes. When dressed, Destany leaves her room and goes tot he kitchen since she feels a bit hungry, so she decides to make herself a sandwich, she also grabs an ice cold water bottle before going to the dinning table and sitting in her chair to eat. As the young woman eats, she scrolls through instagram, checking up on what some of her friends had posted over the last few days.
~Time skip (1 week)~
It's later in the afternoon when Destany arrives home from work, she over hears that Ruby has to give up his room to a teen girl who's the daughter of their moms old roommate from college. She laughs hysterically as the poor boy has only had the room to himself for a few days.
~Destany's Pov~
Once I am showered and changed, I go to greet Olivia (the person taking Ruby's room) "Hi olivia, I'm destany, Ruby's big sister. And I'm soo sorry for the way he acted, he just really likes the room. But don't worry, it's all yours now" She smiles and hugs me, I hug back as she speaks "It's soo nice to meet you! And don't worry about it, I totally understand it" I smile and nod before letting her go talk to ruby, I go to my room and lay down on my stomach. I'm like this for about 10 minutes before Ruby and his friends come in and sit around my room.I turn over and look at the group of teens "Why are you guys in my room? Not that I mond or anything?" Ruby is the one to answer "We're bored and you're the only teen here with a license..." I chuckle "So that makes me your chauffeur?" I say this with an eyebrow raise.
The teens quickly jump to disagree, causing me to laugh loudly "i'm joking! I'm happy to drive you anywhere!" The group collectively sigh in relief before monse speaks up "We were wondering if you'd drive us to D' wayne's BBQ joint! I'll be Olivia's first time trying Mr. Turner's Barbeque." I nod and say "Okay, but let me change so I dont look homeless" They all cheer and leave my room. I quickly change and grab my phone, car keys and my chapstick.

I leave my room and go to the hallway that leads to Olivia's room, I clear my throat a bit before yelling "Let's go guys! Haul ass before I leave you here to walk!" I wait patiently by the front door for the teens, they all rush towards me, I open the door and they all run to my car; that is luckily parked infront of the house. . We all pile in and I drive off to the restaurant. We soon reach the joint, so I park in one of the free parking spaces that are closer to the entrance. As soon as the car is put in park, the five teens all rush out my car and towards the building. I chuckle and roll my eyes before getting out the car. I lock it before I follow the teens to the door then onside the building, we sit in one of the booths and wait to have our orders taken. It took a few minutes but one of the waiters comes and takes our orders, which were all relatively the same, aside from our beverages. While we wait for our food, I absentmindedly stare into space, my face looking at the entrance of the restaurant. Though I am soon brought out of my daze by the sound of the bell just above the entrance ring. I quickly avert my gaze when I notice the people who just entered the restaurant, it was Oscar and his little group of cholos. My theory is that they are looking for cesar of are looking to eat here. I tune into the conversation that was happening at my table, Ruby, olivia and the rest were talking about the homecoming dance that was coming up, I just listen as I had attended the homecoming all four years of my highschool career. Monse seems to be opposed to going, in her terms 'it was used as an excuse for guys to grope, and stake a claim on a girl', just her saying that made me laugh; I quickly interject "Monse, not every social gathering or school function is a ploy to get boy trapped. I went to homecoming every year I was in highschool, everyone I went to I went with a date! But I wasn't boy trapped! You just need to let loose a bit, have fun~ and make mistakes. Just don't do drugs or get pregnant, because those are the traps" The boys applaud my mini speech, saying that I am right and she should listen to me. Just as she is about to reply, our food and drinks come out and are set in front of us.
