That night, the gang were in Winter Hollow's inn, the Dew Drop Inn, getting warm with some of the townsfolk.
"Wow, i've never even heard of Winter Hollow before, but it seems to be quite a tourist hot spot." Daphne says
Then, the inn's owner walked over as he said, "These aren't tourists, they're townsfolk."
"Who are you?" Fred asks
"I'm Asa Buckwald, and this is my inn." Asa responded
Velma looked around.
"Well, your business sure is booming." Velma states
"Well, it's all due to that headless menace goin around wrecking chimneys." Asa responded
Scooby and Shaggy looekd at each other, gulping.
"Each Christmas, it destroys houses around these parts, and, well, folks need a place to stay." Asa comments, putting some logs in the fire. "People here in Winter Hollow haven't celebrated Christmas for such a long time. Fact is, some of the young ones have never been able TO have a Christmas here. Or seen a Christmas tree at a friend's house."
Fred rubbed his neck.
"Do you have any rooms left for us?" Fred asks
Asa took them upstairs and opened a room.
"Well, this one's the only one I have left." Asa comments
Everyone looked at the room adn then each other. Then, Daphne stepped in.
"Leave it to me, gang." Daphne comments, closing the door
After various bangs, whirrs, and other noises, Daphne opened the room and it looked completely different.
"Voila. A human touch." Daphne comments. "After all, I don't watch the remodeling channel for nothing."
"Wish Yang could see this place." Ruby comments. "She'd love all the Christmas decorations."
Later that night, Scooby and Shaggy were in the inn's kitchen, grabbing some grub.
"I think it's time for my classic holiday sandwich." Shaggy comments. "A yam marshmallow and sweet relish club sandwich."
"RYummy!" Scooby comments, licking his lips
Shaggy dug through the fridge.
"Huh. Don't see any bread." Shaggy comments, pulling out a fruitcake. "Well, this fruitcake will have to do."
When Shaggy went to place the stuff on a counter, there was a loud rumbling.
"Man, Scoob, your stomach sure is loud." Shaggy comments
Scooby shook his head and there was even more rumbling The two then ran out of the kitchen and followed Fred, Ren, and the girls outside as they put their winter coats on and saw something a bit odd to say the least. A wrecked chimney.
"Like, either Santa had a crash landing, or the Headless Snowman has been here!" Shaggy comments
Everyone walked over and the sheriff was already on the scene.
"Wow, sheriff. You sure got here fast." Fred says
"Well, the flashing red and blue lights on my car helps that along." Perkins comments
Velma, Shaggy, Daphne, and Scooby walked over to the kid that was there with the sheriff and Velma kneeled down to get eye to eye level with the kid.
"Can you tell us what happened?" Velma asks
"Well, I was up anyway, just hoping, HOPING, Santa might come along." The kid began explaining. "But then, the fire went out and I got really REALLY cold. Then, next thing I knew, in the living room right in front of my eyes, was the Headless Snowman! How's Santa gonna come without a chimney?"
"Maybe we can, like, put it back together." Shaggy comments
Shaggy tried and tried to pick up a brick but what ended up happening was he slipepd and fell backwards onto the ground. The brick was really heavy.
"Man, these bricks sure are heavy." Shaggy comments
"I hate that stupid snowman." The kid, who's name is Tommy, comments. "Because of him, we don't get Christmas..."
Fred put a hand on Tommy's shoulder.
"Hey, don't give up, Tommy. After all, we got a few hours to save Christmas." Fred says, patting Tommy's shoulder before looking at the rest of the gang. "Come on, guys, it's time to catch ourselves a snowman."
Later, Velma had a lantern out, providing light, and they came across a set of tracks, which came to a stop at an odd point.
"The tracks end right here, at this snowdrift." Velma points out
Then, slowly, the headless Snowman started coming out of the snowdrift.
"RUN!!!!!" Fred shouts
Everyone took off running in the opposite direction. They ended up in what can only be described as a tool shed shaped like an outhouse, the snowman swinging the door open and snarling and growling
