at first it looked like a planet wrapped in vegetation and water but some sort of concealment bubble encased a city, as stiles passes through it his jaw dropped- it was grand and magnificent he couldn't pull his eyes away from it. eventually the ship came to a soft stop on a grassy field, a couple sheep bleated and the intrusion nearby. carefully stiles stepped out. marvelling in the beauty surrounding him. the sun bore down heavily on his back and the grass was springy beneath his feet. it felt surreal. he wasn't left in peace for very long before at least thirty warriors surrounded him.
he held up his hands in surrender, not trying to make enemies within two seconds of arriving.
"state your name and reason for being here"
one woman shouted, her spear pointed accusatorially at him. stiles blinked.
"uhm, stiles stillinski, i was sent here by bruce banner and bucky barnes"
she gave him a look as to explain in more depth, that wasn't good enough. stiles wracked his brian for ideas, then he remembered an article he had read.
"the white wolf? he sent me, he said you guys might be able to... help. and i hope so too. please, i came seeking guidance"
that name seemed to hold meaning to the woman around him. they relaxed their poses slightly but didn't waiver their spears away from him.
"follow me"
one yelled. stiles did as he was told and trailed after her, a few followed after him, spears at the ready.
this is not the warmest of welcomes
yet someone it's better than earth
void chuckled as did stiles.
he was taken though beautiful scenery as they progressed. stiles found himself enjoying it regardless of the spears constantly aimed at his face. after a while they arrived at a regal looking building. stiles was nudged inside. he muttered a few rude words about hospitality but complied.
a stony looking man stood before him- eyeing him with distrust and scrutiny. which is fair.
one of the woman who he had spoke to before came up and whispered something in his ear. he looked shocked for a moment before nodding and returning to stiles.
"they say you know the white wolf- that he is the one who sent you"
stiles nodded slowly.
"why"
stiles blinked. why was he sent here- sure to get away from earth but here? why here specifically. bucky said they would take care of him. stiles cleared his throat.
"i am not welcome on earth at the moment- i have been wrongly hunted for a while. the white wolf said that you could help me..."
he trailed off.
that was shit
fuck you
now they will never trust you
i didn't see you giving any help
what was i supposed to do?
"fucking help!"
the room fell silent. stiles gulped. why did he say it out loud. the man looked closer at him.
"why. why does earth condemn you?"
he scratched his neck.
should i say?
you got nothing else to lose
"part of me is a nogitsune- a dark fox spirit. i have control now but i am deemed evil. i promise i am not- if that holds any value"
the man hummed.
"and why should we believe you?"
well. now there was a question. stiles stuttered a little- he really didn't have much reason. he could feel many of the peoples irritations and agitation. a couple of the warriors stepped closer. their spears poised. just then the man in front of him got a message on his wristband. there was another bracelet that looked beautiful but stiles couldn't catch a good glimpse.
the message was from bucky.
"m' baku, this is stiles stillinski- take my word that he has a good heart, he has power. he needs to know how to harness it and control it. please- help him for me. after a year he should be safe to come home. i cannot refrain you from sending him away i can only appeal to your better nature."
m' baku huffed as he dropped his hand. he gave another long look at stiles. then he spoke with clarity.
"if we take you under our wing- you have to listen to anything and everything we ask of you. we will train you. if it's too difficult you can leave. i trust white wolf however you have to earn our trust"
stiles nodded quickly. relief flooding through his body.
"the warriors who escorted you here are the dora milaje"
he continued.
"have today to get situated, tomorrow you train"
the guards came to him- this time the spears were held tight to their sides, no longer aimed at him. they began to walk and stiles hurried on after, he stopped and ran back. with as much sincerity as he could he looked at m' Baku
"thank you so much for this opportunity and your hospitality. i will try to not let you down"
he nodded.
"you won't"
okay sorry if this isn't very accurate. and the timeline i mean- holy fuck it's out of whack. but pleasesseee just ignore all that. anywho- hope u liked the chapter anyway.
