i walk closer to him as i try to catch my breath and i can see his expression was really surprised that i tried to chase him. "y-y/n... what are-" he was gonna ask me something when i cut him off
"hey..!" he flinched a bit and we have a long pause before i start to speak again. "is your offering still open or what?" i asked blankly knowing that he was the one being dumbfounded now. "e-eh? uhm yeah..." he knew what this was about and getting prepared for whatever i'm going to ask for
"be my boyfriend"
"and don't mess it up again"
he blinked twice and was really shocked at what my favor is. "boy..friend?" he repeated himself as his face show a little red spread on his cheek. "what? you taking back your offering?" truth be told, i am kinda nervous after what i just asked him to. i raise my eyebrows meanwhile i'm having butterflies dancing in my stomach
he sighed in relief and started to laugh as i was kinda stunned that he may think this was a childish act- he's a child himself so i will just punch him if he rejected me now. "haa... well if that's what's my y/n wants that i will grant their wish with pleasure" he stands up while he said that and start to take a closer step to me
"i love you, y/n. sorry, it took me a while to realize that" at this moment he pulled me for a hug and i could feel how much his word meant through his actions and as he gently stroke my hair. my eyes widened and i bring my hand slowly to accept him. tears start to spill from my eyes as i buried my face in his clothes and let them brush there
"i-i... don't h-hate you....never did.... a-actually.." he hummed and start to speak again. "so that means... you love me too right?" i can feel his grinning through that question but i just answered them as i do feel kinda annoyed with dumbass
"yeah... i love you too, kokichi... very much..." i gave in to his teasing and the both of us stay like this for a quite while as we were relieved that our feelings now are connected
