King was out of the house with iris picking up some things to even take care of him properly. He got food first knowing fairy's can't stomach meat till there older but serpentine are mostly carnivores so it's a bit conflicting on want to get a small child who was a mix of these two. Iris wasn't going to get his teeth till later in life so he couldn't have normal meat yet. Living in the world of humans now was hard because there was nothing for his or any other kind to live now a days.
"Aww what a cutie~" king looked up seeing this older lady coing over iris who was babbling and blowing spit bubbles like any other child and thanks to a glimmer looked like any other child.
"He is isn't he" "he must take after his mother Heh" the lady didn't know of course but king couldn't even think of anything to say.
"Um actually ah" quickly he thought of something "I don't know he's my adopted son" he laughed nervously seeing the woman's face go pale.
"Oh I am so sorry I didn't know" "it's alright you didn't know and that's ok" he went back to looking over the baby food still confused on what to get.
"Here this is the best for little ones take it from me a mother of four" the lady handed him a jar letting him read it over for a moment.
"Oh wow thank you so much" the lady smiled waving a hand as if waving it off. "Not a problem anything to help a new parent" it was a sweet action and king held that he was vary sensitive if you can't tell. The lady stayed by king to help him with getting what he needed to raise iris it was a sweet gesture but he felt a bit bad for it ,this kind older lady was taking time out of her day to help him with being a new father. When it was all over king took iris out the cart holding him on one of his arms.
"I can't thank you enough mis you made this so much better for us both" "not a problem really like i said anything for a new father I know being a new parent is hard so I wish you lucky" "greatly appreciated mis" with that he gathered his bags waved to the lady iris mimicking him being adorable. They got to the car and he strapped iris in first before putting the groceries away. King sighed getting in the diver seat looking back in the mirror at the little child.
"Who knew being a father would be this strange" he put his head on the wheel for a moment before turning on the car the radio coming on with it. The sound of little babbling to the music was heard it of course was little iris trying to sing like he heard king do on the way to the store.
"Oh my gods that's adorable" he mumbled with a flush face of how cute it was.
