vi. the owl goddess

{ she completely shed her animal form and emerged as the goddess of godly wisdom }

In earlier times, she may have been a bird goddess.

A bird goddess who once was a little owl overlooking and protecting the city of Athens.

And unsurprisingly, the owl became a sort of Athenian mascot.

Even the little owl is named after her, Athene noctura which it is also Athena's faithful companion that is by her side during battles.

She probably once had majestic wings and beautiful distinctive eyes that you could see miles away.

Athena still do have those amazing grey-colored eyes that I seem to lost in every time and a bright smile that complements also.

I'm so grateful that she finally flashes a smile at me once in awhile.

Her father brought Pallas a small baby owl for her birthday a year ago and she brings it with her everyday to the store.

Athena named the owl, Oleisia, which means protector of man.

She sits there, looking over the store and protects Athena whenever danger is near and it never liked me coming to the store.

Therefore, it's always giving me the evil eye and she screeches it's loudest when I'm close to Athena.

Athena just laughs before saying, "He's alright, little owl. But please keep an eye out for him."

She winked at me playfully then giggled to herself and she sounded so heavenly that made myself smile.

She honestly looked really happy.

I sneaked up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist.

"Hey, what are you doing?" She looked at me curiously with her piercing grey eyes sparkling brightly.

"I'm pleased that you're finally alright with me, Pallas Athena."

Aww, there's tears in my eyes because they're finally getting along with each other and there's one more chapter left. Dedicated to paper-txwns 💜

Anyways, tell me what you think about the book so far? Are you up for another goddess book?

Comment and vote please!☺️

Thanks for reading!
