CHAPTER 23

The sudden boost in interaction is totally a game-changer.

People don't know how or when it started, but they do assume that the two have been talking a lot and getting to know each other.

For starters, it's not a very big deal to see two well-known students interacting. The catch, however, is when the male is known to be a player while the female is best acquainted with the family owners of the university.

Sure, nobody wants to get ahead of themselves, but often times they ask their friends what's the score between the two.

After all, they've been seen a lot alone together in most parts of the campus.

"You're the talk of the town", Kyla says as she slides on the chair next to her best friend.

Harae just glanced at her, then continued to make her assignment.

"I mean, not only you, but there's also a guy named Yier Chen Zhong."

"You had your suspicions", Harae says.

"Well yeah, but you haven't given me a clear answer. Now what's the real deal between you and that guy?"

"Kyla, he has a name."

"Now you're sensitive about addressing him as just a guy?"

"I'm just saying that he has a name and we both know him. It's best to address him with his name."

"Oh, okay, chill, girl! Why are you so heated up with just that?"

Harae just sighed and finished typing as she saved her work. She faced the latter, who was already looking at her with rather eager eyes.

"Okay, but promise me you're not going to gossip about this to anyone or anywhere."

Kyla snorted, "Why would I gossip about you?"

"Mhm. So here it is. You probably concluded the fact that we are screwing each other anytime of the day."

"Yup. Luckily, I digested it way easier than Yangyang."

"Okay, here's the second one", Harae nervously gulps and sighs. "I think I like him."

Kyla scoffs a laugh and looks at her in disbelief. "You think?"

"Yeah? Is it weird? Is it a no-no base in the sexual phase?"

"Did you set up some rules or something?"

"A few. But we never cleared up anything regarding the falling issue."

"Uhuh. So you both quietly considered the fact that you could fall in love?"

"No! I mean, in my case, I never considered falling for a fuck buddy. It's just how my body reacts with him. I never thought about that; it just happened."

"Figured. Well, rules are mostly made to be broken. Also, just like you said, you never set a rule about catching feelings or whatever. Wait, how did it happen anyway?"
