CHAPTER 39

They didn't take much account of what would happen if they did live under the same roof.

The moving wasn't hard either, and even though the girl has so many things, it was already expected, and the space is very capable of storing all of them.

The king-sized bed is now being occupied by two. The walk-in closet now has female clothing. The dining table didn't feel too big. The living room isn't a playhouse for ghosts.

Generally, the whole house looks much livelier now that Harae lives in it. Finally.

"Do you think they will like it?", Chenle worries for the umpteenth time.

"Love, I told you things are fine between us now. Visiting them wasn't a pain in the ass anymore. Although grandma is five years older and louder, she's fine. Rest assured, there will be no bad blood happening", Harae calmly assured.

Chenle only took a deep sigh and manned the car with the utmost professionalism in the middle of the busy highway.

After an hour or so, the familiar structure of a mansion is finally seen.

Chenle pulled up in front of the big gate as it was opened by a male helper who saw Harae in an opened window.

"Miss Yoon, they are waiting for you", the helper says.

"Oh well, I hope we're not that late. Ah! This is Yier Chen Zhong. I guess you'll see him every now and then."

The helper smiled and politely bowed. "Hello, Sir Zhong. I'm Taru. I will be opening the gates for you whenever you visit."

Chenle bowed his head. "Nice meeting you, Taru. I'll be glad to see you whenever I come here too."

"Let's go", Harae nudged, and Chenle immediately drove into the Yoon's residence.

This is honestly well planned. Chenle was the one who initiated it, and even though Harae was a little scared, she chose to get along with it after seeing the male's determined face.

This is the day Yier Chen Zhong officially introduces himself as a man who promises to love Harae for a lifetime in front of her family.

The plan was a little bit do-or-die because neither of them knew what the family's reaction would be.

Will they make it a big deal just because of what happened five years ago?

Will they become a bitch again and break them up like before?

Will they be supportive now that they have accepted her divorce from Mark?

They've also been good to her after that, honestly. They tried to fix their family.

It wasn't a smooth process, but after years of being tied to them, Harae learned how to accept them too.

It's just a bonus that their relationship with the Lees didn't change and that the merged business is still going strong.

Anyway, the Zhongs knew about their blooming relationship too. Harae still hasn't met them personally, as the family is in China and they can't currently make time to go there because of the demands of their jobs.
