Nyah's PoV

Max's rage simmered as I stood there, bewildered by the accusations hurled my way. I was caught off guard, my mind scrambling to make sense of the situation. His eyes blazed with a mixture of anger and hurt, leaving me perplexed and eager to uncover the truth.

In a desperate attempt to understand, I mustered the courage to question him. "Max? What's wrong?" I asked, my voice tinged with confusion.

There was an intense heaviness in the air as Max confronted me, his voice dripping with venom. "Why didn't you answer the fucking phone?" he spat, his frustration evident. "You didn't even open my messages!"

Messages? Calls? The realization hit me like a slap in the face. I frantically rummaged through my bag, letting out a defeated sigh as I discovered my forgotten phone. How could I have been so careless?

"Who were you with?" Max's voice reverberated with the anger of a betrayed lover. Panic engulfed me; my eyes darted around, searching for an escape. Were my parents home?

"No one," I managed to stammer, my words faltering under Max's relentless gaze. "I just had a meeting."

Mocking laughter filled the room as the door swung open, revealing an unbuttoned Dalton. His shirt, carelessly buttoned, exposed a tantalizing glimpse of his sculpted chest. Anxiety intensified, rendering me speechless, caught between two men trapped in a whirlwind of emotions.

Max's voice trembled with a mixture of rage and disbelief. "Were you with him?" he bellowed, accusations laced with betrayal hanging in the air.

I turned towards Max, my heart pounding painfully against my chest, desperately attempting to form words to deny his assumptions. "N-"

The defiance in Dalton's voice cut through the tension, a daring challenge to Max's authority. "So what if she was?" Dalton's voice pulsated with defiance. "Is it really that bad that the woman you love isn't in love with you?"

Max chuckled bitterly, his laughter devoid of humor. "Well, she's definitely not in love with you," he sneered. "She's just doing her usual business."

And that's whoring around with us she's just using us for her own pleasure"

In a furious rage, I unleashed my pent-up anger upon Max, whose derogatory words had cut deep into my soul. A burning fire ignited within me, empowering me to teach him a lesson he would never forget.

With lightning-fast reflexes, I closed the distance between us, my hand connecting firmly with his cheek, leaving a resounding echo in the air.

The taste of adrenaline danced on my tongue as I followed up with a powerful punch, sending him crashing to the ground, crimson liquid flowing from his nose and mouth.

His feeble attempts to defend himself were futile against my wrath. Each blow I delivered was an embodiment of the pain he had inflicted upon me with his callous words.

With every strike, I reclaimed my dignity, my self-worth, and let him bear the consequences of his actions. I could see the fear in his eyes, hear the sharp gasps for breath as he choked on his own blood.

In that moment, I felt a surge of power coursing through my veins—an untamed energy that demanded justice.

Dalton, watching the scene unfold, offered to intervene, but I dismissed his assistance. This battle was mine alone, and I intended to finish it on my own terms.

As Max writhed on the ground, his body battered and broken, I delivered a final kick to his stomach—an exclamation mark on my defiance.

A whirlwind of emotions swirled within me, blurring the lines between sanity and madness. No longer would I tolerate being disrespected or mistreated. I asserted my dominance, my voice reverberating with the echoes of my fury.

Breathing heavily, I turned to Dalton, my eyes still ablaze. In that moment, our connection deepened, as he understood the unyielding strength that resided within me.

His touch, firm and soothing, provided a faint glimmer of the calm I desperately needed.

Though my anger still smoldered, his presence offered solace amidst the chaos, reminding me that I was not alone in this battle.

Together, we stood, united against those who dared to diminish our worth. The world may label us as "crazy," but we understood the fierce determination within us.

No longer would we tolerate disrespect or insults. We were warriors, bound by loyalty and the unwavering belief that we deserved to be treated with love and dignity.

And as we walked away from the battered remains of Max, I knew one thing for certain—I had reclaimed my power, and no one would ever underestimate me again.

Mine and Dalton's eyes met, but I chose to avert my gaze, anticipation building within me. His unwavering stare penetrated through my every thought.

"Must we confront all our troubles in such a manner?" he asked softly, his voice dripping with a mix of curiosity and longing.

Without hesitation, he lifted me effortlessly, my legs instinctively wrapping around his waist, a perfect fit.

Our lips collided in a passionate kiss as I threw my bag down, the weight of the world now a distant memory.

Gently, he leaned me against the cool surface of the kitchen counter, the rhythmic beating of our hearts reverberating through the room.

His hands, strong yet tender, traveled down to the curve of my waist, leaving behind trails of fire with each touch.

I reciprocated, my own hands finding their way to his chest, working to unbutton the remaining confines of his shirt.

The air thickened with desire as the fabric yielded under my touch.

"F*** it," I exclaimed, a surge of raw confidence overtaking me. "Take me to my room, Dalton," I demanded with a fierceness, my voice carrying a weight of conviction only he could understand.

He hummed in agreement, his grip tightening as he opened the door, sealing us away from the world outside.

With an assertive motion, he slammed the door shut, the sound echoing my own desire for seclusion.

The lock clicked into place, a symbol of the unspoken unity between us. Gently, he placed me on the softness of my bed, his touch feather-light yet captivatingly possessive.

In the realm of intimacy, inhibitions dissipated like smoke. I reached for his belt, sliding it off with a flourish, each motion adding fuel to the fire that blazed within us.

His trousers soon joined the discarded belongings on the ground, forgotten in the urgency of the moment.

My dress, a barrier between us, became an unnecessary barrier to the passionate connection we craved.

With swift determination, I shed the fabric, revealing bare vulnerability.

With each tender and tentative touch, my lips planted kisses upon his chest, an ascending path towards his eager lips.

As his hands traced the winding road of my waist, a question lingered in his voice, hesitating yet caring. "Are you sure?"

he asked, his eyes searching mine for any signs of uncertainty. Without hesitation,

I responded with unwavering certainty, "Always." Our eyes met once again, an unspoken agreement that ignited a primal hunger within him.

In the shifting lull of darkness, his eyes darkened with intensity, mirroring my own desire. And in that shared moment,

second-guessing faded away, replaced only by a ravenous craving to embrace the passionate journey that awaited us both.
