Waiting to wake up

It's been 5 hours since the doctors had been operating him, in their personal hospital 5 hours of making me realise

*inner voice* You like him
"Gosh shut up" I said

"Are you alright Nyah?" One of his buddies asked
"Uh, yeah I'm fine"
"Do they know how long it'll be done, or if he's alright yet?"

The door opened and the nurse smiled "he's resting Nyah, no need to worry we took out the bullet it was in deep and did damage a couple of his arteries so we had to quickly stop

The bleeding before it got worse so he's just resting now, but give these medications oh and make sure he takes them

Because he never does" I nodded
She left going downstairs "Nyah you should go and rest, you've been here for awhile"

I groaned "I am tired, but-"
"I'll tell you when he wakes up" I nodded and went to his bedroom

Taking my shoes off and just got in the bed and went to sleep

Daltons PoV

7 hours went by and I slowly woke up seeing myself all patched with a bandage "what the fuck happened?" I said quietly

"You were shot" I looked up seeing Gino "shot...where's Doll!"
Gino raised his eyebrow "who?"
"Nyah!"

"Oh but before I tell you, you should know what happened" I groaned as he explained and told me everything

"She's been here the whole time?"
"Hasn't left not even to go to the bathroom or sleep" I sighed "where is she?" I asked

"I told her to go and rest" I hummed "I'll go and see her" I said he carefully helped me up and took me to my room

I slowly turned the knob taking a peak and saw her asleep on the bed "I can take it from here" I whispered Gino nodded and left

I walked in silently closing the door and limped to the bed slowly getting in and gently laying down

I turned to her side scanning her features, her face was so beautiful she was like a model that I was luckily enough to meet

I moved a strand of her hair out the way and she did a slight groan then slowly opened her eyes "did you sleep nicely?" I asked quietly

"Are you here or am I dreaming again?" She mumbled
"So you dream of me?" She did a small smile and moved closer to my chest

"Tell me if I hurt you"
She wrapped her arms around my chest and rested her head on my chest

"Doll I probably stink I should go and have a shower"
"You don't, so don't leave" I laid silent "fine, I'll stay"

"Were you worried, is that why you're acting like this?"
She was silent so I thought she was asleep I slowly checked her face

But she was still awake but not answering "were you scared?" I asked "why did you stay? You should've-"

"I couldn't"
"What?" I said confused
"I couldn't leave, not knowing whether you'd be fine or not knowing this is my fault"
