Y/N POV

Months passed after our meeting, and we both slowly discovered each other's secret. We made a promise to keep it between the two of us, and now we're in a frozen wasteland, wherever in the Arctic. Since Clark was looking for something here - I don't know where we are.

A heavy sensation of caution and apprehension filled me as I followed behind Clark saying, "Hey man, I know you're an alien and all, but do we really have to do this?"

In a matter-of-fact tone, he answers my question directly. "You chose to follow, and I picked to go inside."

A heavy, long sigh escapes my lips as I pick between two equally undesirable options: infiltrating the facility with Clark to see what's inside, or simply standing guard and letting him do his own thing.

...

In the end, I just ended up picking the secure route, saying "You know what? I'll just keep watch, I don't wanna get into your personal alien business."

Whatever suits you, Y/N... is what Clark said in return. He kept going at his brisk pace, not slowing down for a second.

I nodded at him and we began to split up as I slowly made my way up the mountainside, wanting to cover as much ground as possible to observe. Clark did his thing inside.

>> Few Minutes Later <<

It's been a few minutes, and I'm not sensing anything out of the ordinary... yet, but then I decided to mend my sudden boredom by listening to some music. Nonetheless, as more time passed, nothing really happened, so again... I decided that this time, I would sing along. I don't know why, or if it's already a part of me to sing along and vibe to the beats as the tune plays along.

"Ooh-ooh~"

"Some things you just can't refuse~" I sang the lyrics over and over again, feeling the vibration of the ground slightly shaking beneath my feet. However, I chose to ignore it and continue singing.

"She wanna ride me like a cruise~" Again, a stronger, more intense shaking occurred, and it seemed to get stronger.

And finally, I was removed from the world of music as the shaking began to intensify. It started out as a mild tremor, but within seconds it had become an earthquake of epic proportions.

I was then almost caught off balance, but I managed to web myself to keep still while something evidently began to ascend out of the ice. Ragged rocks and ice began to be pulled out from the ground and raised as they were sent tumbling down below the mountain.

"What in the War of the Worlds is this crap?!" I yelled as I pocketed my phone then noticed a block of incoming ice and quickly evaded it by letting go of the web I am currently holding and allowing myself to fall for a bit before firing another web.
