Snow Day

I woke with a stretch and a yawn immediately realizing how cold I was. so I quickly got out of bed and got dressed for the day with many many layers to keep myself warm. I always wrapped myself up much warmer in the winter as even after all this time my body is still shocked by the winters of Britannia. I hurried downstairs seeing part of the reason I was so cold, the front door is wide open I grabbed a jacket and my long scarf wrapping it around me tightly. I headed out into the knee-high snow I could just about see divots in the snow from the steps before me the snow still fluttering down hard. I followed the steps out into the garden of our little house seeing the snow sitting on top of the little stone fence. I could see our little well cover was also covered in snow the bucket swinging back and forth in the blustery winds. everything else that usually sat in the grass outside our house was packed away into the little shed and in the snow were the sweet four figures playing in the snow.

"papa!" Little Luna smiled as she ran over excitedly in her own little warm dress and scarf "Hello daddy"

"Hello darling" I cooed picking her up and holding her close to my chest giving her a kiss "What are you up to?"

"Making winter stars with mama"

"Aww go on then" I laughed putting her down and letting her run back to her sister Lucina and brother Orcus I smiled watching them as they made 'winter stars' with their mother y/n standing in her sweet little coat, she and the children drew a star in the fresh snow

"Make a wish" she smiled to them so the children held their little hands and blew the snow making the star disappear "yay!" she smiled and the children happily jumped around excitedly, I loved when they paid this game in the snow and old game from y/n's family you draw a star in the snow blow across it and if the star blows away and disappears then you wish is granted and you can pick up the snow and throw it in the air above your head the children adore it. I smiled heading into the snow with them giving the children cuddles and kisses before finally reaching my beautiful wife

"Hello my love"

"Hello Romulus" she cooes "would you like to make a wish?"

"All my wishes have been granted, my love"

"Your sure?"

"completely sure. I love you so much"

"I love you too" she smiles giving me a sweet kiss "now you watch the children, I'll go in and make us some nice warm soup"

"Ohh your fabled snowy time soup?"

"Indeed"

"I want mummies snowy time soup!" Orcus giggled

"You stay with your daddy and I'll call you all in for soup soon" she smiled giving me a kiss and heading inside

"Alright, hows about we play battlements?" I suggested

"Yay battlements!" they smiled all picking a part of the garden to build there barracks to begin the war.
