Professor Dumbledore had gotten to his feet. He was smiling around at the students, his arms opened wide in welcome. His robes and beard making him look ever crazed.

"I have only two words to say to you," he told them, his deep voice echoing around the Hall. "Tuck in."

One thing that Amare loved was the first years reactions when the food just appears on the table. As she watched their gaping faces she leaned closer to them and said "tuck in you don't want it to get cold" while chuckling.

"You're lucky there's a feast at all tonight, you know," said the bloody baron appearing behind Amare. She waved off the frightened looking first years and have a questioning look to the ghost. "There was trouble in the kitchens earlier. "

"Let me guess, Peeves" said Amare, picking at her potatoes.

"It always is" said the baron, shrugging. "The usual argument, you know. He wanted to attend the feast - well, it's quite out of the question, you know what he's like, utterly uncivilized, can't see a plate of food without throwing it. We held a ghost's council - the Fat Friar was all for giving him the chance - but i put my foot down, i knew that he would most likely meet his final end if anyone can between you and the feast. " The baron explained slightly teasing.

Amare held much respect for the baron, even in death he had influence.

"So what did he do in the kitchens?" One of the first years questioned, brain fried by nerves enough not to feel fear of the ghost.

"Oh the usual, Wreaked havoc and mayhem. Pots and pans everywhere. Place swimming in soup. Terrified the house-elves out of their wits, Dumbledore had to spend a few hours comforting them"

Amare chuckled "must of been bad if house elves need to be comforted" the baron laughed in agreement.

"Do you know if Dumbledore pays them? That seems like some sort of crackpot idea he would have" Amare joked, the baron laughed loudly scaring most in hearing distance. "It does sound like something he would do, maybe you should tell him about it" the baron responded and they laughed together imagining Dumbledore trying to reason that with McGonagall.

The rain was still drumming heavily against the high, dark glass. Another clap of thunder shook the windows, and the stormy ceiling flashed, illuminating the golden plates as the remains of the first course vanished and were replaced, instantly, with puddings and cakes and other sweets.

Amare quickly gobbled enough pudding to make Marie Antoinette cringe.

When the sweets too had been demolished, and the last crumbs had faded off the plates, leaving them sparkling clean, Albus Dumbledore got to his feet again. The buzz of chatter filling the Hall ceased almost at once, so that only the howling wind and pounding rain could be heard.

"So!" said Dumbledore, smiling around at them all. "Now that we are all fed and watered, I must once more ask for your attention, while I give out a few notices."

"Mr. Filch, the caretaker, has asked me to tell you that the list of objects forbidden inside the castle has this year been extended to include Screaming Yo-yos, Fanged Frisbees, and Ever-Bashing Boomerangs. The full list comprises some four hundred and thirty-seven items, I believe, and can be viewed in Mr. Filch's office, if anybody would like to check it. "

The corners of Dumbledore's mouth twitched. He continued, "As ever, I would like to remind you all that the forest on the grounds is out-of-bounds to students, as is the village of Hogsmeade to all below third year.

"It is also my painful duty to inform you that the Inter-House Quidditch Cup will not take place this year. "

Countless sounds of displeasure and complaint arouse from the tables especially from Amare who had to hold back some rude gestures
