They trudged up the misty field between long rows of tents. Most looked almost ordinary; their owners had clearly tried to make them as Muggle-like as possible, but had slipped up by adding chimneys, or bellpulls, or weather vanes. However, here and there was a tent so obviously magical.
Halfway up the field stood an extravagant confection of striped silk like a miniature palace, with several live peacocks tethered at the entrance. A little farther on they passed a tent that had three floors and several turrets; and a short way beyond that was a tent that had a front garden attached, complete with birdbath, sundial, and fountain.
They had reached the area where they were told to go, and here was an empty space, with a small sign hammered into the ground that read DIGGORY.
Amos left once they had gotten to the area for the tent, wanting to greet some friends and coworkers leaving the two teens alone.
Cedric had a small box with him thta contained the tent. He gently placed it on the ground, he gave Amara the honours of activating it.
As the tent expanded it got to a decent size looking like any other muggle tent though it might of been a bit dated.
The two teens walked inside and made themselves at home taking off their bags and such.
The tent was simple for a wizarding one, there was room with a few couches and then a small kitchen connected by a door, down a hall were four doors that were bedrooms and a bathroom
They settled on one of couches in the tent. Amare had put her feet in Cedrics lap claiming her feet were icicles. Cedric didn't bother complaining since she had done it since they were little.
The two friends simply talked
Though as always Amare brought up a topic that she thought would be hilarious and make Cedric question his life choices. She asked him what he would put on his tombstone. She was laughing about it since there were so many things you could put.
"Always with the weird questions umm give me an example"
"Ok so basically 'man it's hot down here' or something along those lines" this threw Cedric into a fit of laughs which caused Allium to laugh causing Cedric to laugh more cause of her laugh.
"That's a good question" Cedric said as she their laughter finally calmed down.
"Ok ok I got one now "I know something you don't"" Cedric said excited sending Amare into a fit of laughter.
The two continued for a while telling each other the most hilarious ideas they could.
They had debated on going out and searching for people they knew but ultimately decided against it since Cedrics friend were always slightly scared of Amare and Amare didn't have many other friends. Whether it was her tendencies to join the Weasley twins in pranks or her being in Slytherin no one knew.
After a few hours a deep, booming gong sounded somewhere beyond the woods, and at once, green and red lanterns blazed into life in the trees, lighting a path to the field.
The two teens got ready and left the tent knowing that the sound was the signal to start going.
They would meet Amos at the entrance to the stadium.
They hurried into the woods, following the lantern-lit trail. They could hear the sounds of thousands of people moving around them, shouts and laughter, snatches of singing. The atmosphere of feverish excitement was highly infectious; Amare couldn't stop grinning. She wished people would get this excited to watch her play one day.
They walked through the wood for twenty minutes, talking and joking loudly, until at last they emerged on the other side and found themselves in the shadow of the gigantic stadium.
Amos had finally found them, wrapping his arms around their shoulders leading the way toward the nearest entrance, which was already surrounded by a swarm of shouting witches and wizards.
Amare and Cedric couldn't hear what the Ministry witch at the entrance said when she checked their tickets since they had been laughing at someone who fell.
They simply followed Amos and hoped that they had good seats.
The stairs into the stadium were carpeted in rich purple. They clambered upward with the rest of the crowd, which slowly filtered away through doors into the stands to their left and right. They finally got to the area they were supposed to be settling Into their chairs with a bit of bickering between Amare and Cedric.
Amos enjoyed watching g he two interact, it was like they were siblings. He would sometimes feel bad about making Cedric an only child but then would see Amare punch him on the arm for no reason and remember that the devil gave Cedric a sibling after all.
A hundred thousand witches and wizards were taking their places in the seats, which rose in levels around the long oval field. Everything was suffused with a mysterious golden light, which seemed to come from the stadium itself. The field looked smooth as velvet from their lofty position. At either end of the field stood three goal hoops, fifty feet high; right opposite them, was a gigantic blackboard. Gold writing kept dashing across it as though an invisible giant's hand were scrawling upon the blackboard and then wiping it off again; watching it, it was flashing advertisements across the field.

The area they were in filled gradually around them over the next half hour. Amos kept shaking hands with people who he recognized. Cedric and Amare greeted whoever they recognized as well. Cho had even passed by which Amare teased Cedric about when he blushed.
