As sun falls and sets,
Silver moon shines and reflects,
Another new day is done,
All sight's colours start to fade and run,
Feeling that the world is waning,
Golden halo slowly dissipating,
Dusk's last moments a fate that's sealed,
A sentence that can never be appealed,
Dark living in light's refrain,
Leaving as silently as it came,
Shadows have nowhere to run,
As the newborn's time has come,
In night's modest time remaining,
Stars watch as angelic ladies in waiting,
Daybreak burns triumphant across the field,
Avert your eyes as the power is revealed.
