Your eyes flicked open, as a sudden chill came over your body. You clenched your teeth and gripped onto the fuzzy covers in shock by the coldness that radiated off you. Why is it so cold? You thought to yourself. It was the middle of December in New York and the snow threatened to shut down schools and workplaces. The roads were sleek and icy from the freezing nights, and it seemed cafes, and libraries were the only places that were warm, the giant fireplace from the library and heat from the ovens of the cafe supplied warmth and shelter for those who so bravely went outside, you'd never thought you'd be so jealous of an oven and fireplace till now, but in your defense, it had never been this cold before! You whirled around and your eyes scanned the room for the source of the coldness that had so rudely interrupted you from your dream... Wait, my dream! Suddenly it felt a little less frigid when you started recalling your dream. It had seemed so real... You were leaning into your fiancé's loving embrace as he looked down at you with those beautiful longing brown eyes. Snow fell heavy onto both of you, but you could trouble less about it. All your attention... love.... and care was on your soon to be husband. And it all ended, because of the stupid cold!
You threw the covers over you and the coldness shot through your body from your feet up! You immediately regretted getting out of the bed, but you had made it this far. You shuddered and trudged forward, looking across the room until your eyes fell upon an open window! Wasn't it closed last night? You made your way over to the window and could see the jagged surfaces of the icicles that hung off of your window, as well as the fluffy, soft looking snow that coated trees and the roof of your nearby shed.
