...

Am I...?

...am I gone?

Open your eyes, Structure.

...who...are you?

???: I used to be like you—a fearsome entity born from seemingly nothing.

Structure: ugh... Who even are you? You kind of look like me.

???: One could say I'm you, another could say that I'm an iteration of you. But, in this case, that's for you to decipher.

Structure: Alright then... What's your origin? And where are we? Everything sounds so unnatural here.

Questioner: I'm The Questioner, an ancient entity. We share a lot more in common than you might've first reckoned. As for this place, it's the dimension between life and death. I like to call it the "in-between."

Structure: So... I'm not dead yet? Do you mean my body is still somewhere, while my consciousness is here with you?

Questioner: Yes, that is correct. Speaking of the matter, I watched the whole thing from here, and I wanted to step in and help, but that would've shattered reality beyond repair, as you're not allowed to leave the in-between until your fate has been decided.

Structure: It's okay, Questioner, we did what we could. I'm not sure if anyone survived the collapse. After we formed The Unification, The Obliterator hit a weak point, and I didn't see anyone else but myself falling head-first into the planet. I really hope they're still out there, anywhere...

Questioner: I hope so too. I have an idea as to where they could currently be at.

Structure: Really?! Where do you think they are, and how would you know?

Questioner: Once you collapsed the universe to seal Obliterator away, I noticed an anomaly while things were being gravitated towards you. It was really strange, not like any anomaly I've ever seen. It was a galactic light blue rift that opened and closed nearly immediately... Maybe, if it's possible, they might've been pulled into there.

Structure: You might be right, best case scenario at most. I can't lose them...

Questioner: What difference does it make if you can't go back?

Structure: I know I can, I just need time.

Questioner: What concept of time do you have, in a space where time doesn't exist?

Structure: I can refer to my timeline, and how time functions there.

Questioner: Is it first? Is it last?

Structure: It is first, as time is an endless loop.

Questioner: Are you a friend? Are you a foe?

Structure: Friend. I help all entities, no matter what or who they are.

Questioner: Are you alive? Are you dead?

Structure: I'm alive.

*DOOoom*

*zzktz*

Structure: What the hell just happened?!

Questioner: The answers to those questions broke the system of the in-between. Now, you can stay here as long as you want without being sent somewhere.

Structure: Huh...Smart. So this is how you've stayed here for so long.

Questioner: Yes. Ever since my consciousness left my body, I've been waiting for someone to find my body, and resurrect me.

Structure: We can plan ahead. Do you remember the coordinates of your body?

Questioner: I mapped it on a chart just in case someone managed to get out of here. Many did, but they declined to help me...

Structure: Not anymore. I'm gonna help you get out of here, as long as someone can find me. If I manage to return in some capacity, I will find you as soon as possible.

Questioner: Thank you, Structure. This seriously means a lot to me. At first, I thought you weren't the real Structure, but it really is you.

Structure: There's only one of me, right? I sure hope so, the thought of a doppelganger of me doesn't sound comforting.

Questioner: As far as I know, there aren't any iterations of you. But, you can never be sure until you question it.

Structure: I think I understand. I'm going to keep this chart in my pocket just in case I can get out soon.

Questioner: Listen, I was hiding something about the truth of who I am. I'm the leader of The Ancients.

Structure: The Ancients? You mean...

Questioner: Yes, The Ancients came before you. We praised The Trilestials for giving us overwhelming power, though it was us we were worshipping. Everyone in my civilization believed The Trilestials were a myth, something that was fabricated and didn't truly exist. And now, I'm looking into the eyes of the leader, and the first ever real Trilestial... If we manage to get out, they're going to be so shocked to see you in the flesh!... If they're still there, of course.

Structure: You and your civilization praised us? I didn't even know my organization was known before I existed.

Questioner: It's more than an organization, Structure. The Trilestials are the strongest race in the Omniverse, but they never existed until you showed up. A Trilestial is physically unbreakable and has Hyperversal capabilities! If you tried to, you could've wiped The Obliterator from the moment you spawned.

Structure: Wow... So that's how Eris knew who I was before I met her. Everything makes sense now. You know a lot, and I think that we should merge civilizations to become one massive Omniverse civilization. How does that sound?

Questioner: That is a fantastic idea, Structure! We could bring peace to the Omniverse and form an unbeatable force to help keep the peace!

Structure: I love the sound of that, and we'll start working on it after we're both back in our physical forms. So, what do we do now?

Questioner: We wait. From here, we can be the overseers of the Omniverse. Until you disappear, that's my queue to be on the lookout for you. I can guide you from here if you need it.

Structure: Alright. Do you have any sort of device that I can carry on me to communicate with you once I'm in my physical form?

Questioner: I have one in my left pocket. It can transmit data through dimensions, so you should be able to use this once you're there.

Structure: Okay. I'll make a new version of it to be much stronger when the time comes. But, for now, we wait.

Questioner: Indeed. It'll be a long journey home...
